If I could- I'd give this company/business a minus!! Not only are they over-priced (charge for every check mark), their ads are VERY misleading!!! Their unprofessional staff (these people are not CPA's- nor do they have a clue to what they are doing). They cost me ,more aggravation and frsutration doing my 2018 Return and charging me over $500 for a simple tax return. The worst part was when I received a notice from the IRS- stating I owed $207,000 yes!! Scary!! They did not enter the sale of my home (which I gave them all the paperwork). Not only did they do the wrong thing- then denied it- blaming me and did NOT assist in any way- shape or form. They attempted to balme Co-Vid- but now it's tax season and suddenly they are open for business. Lesson learned- use a CPA cost is the same. I will NEVER use their services again!!! read more

We had to wait an hour when we had an appointment which I thought was kinda unacceptable.why have appointments when you have to wait to see someone? Anyway David Newman was great! But the wait was long for him. However Janet Holley mistakenly took us as her client and has really no idea what is going on. I do not recommend her to anyone. However David Newman is very nice and knowledgeable. Make sure you get someone at H&B block that knows what they are doing because not everyone does here. read more

Don't go here. We had so much issues and problems this year its unbelievable. Glen Morris left and everything is downhill now. Extremely unprofessional. Just go to your local accountant. read more

I filed my tax returns and refund and they never once advised me that it could take up to 4 to 6 months to get my refund cause the IRS is way behind they now tell me after waiting since July 2021, and still nothing! They should have been upfront instead of not telling me this from the jump. The other point is, if a refund is a few thousand dollars or more, we lose all the interest off of the money the IRS withholds for all those months! read more

There was a storms the night before and a lot of Gleneida Ave lost power. Little did I know due to the fact that I live out of state, however you would think the man would have he decency and professionalism to call me and give me a heads up that we would need to reschedule. I can only imagine they are as stuck in the times as the rest of Carmel NY and the man doesn't have a cell phone or a laptop he brings to and from work with his client info. Needless to say, They lost my business.
