MER has done our taxes for 2018 and 2019 tax years. 2018 was my first year of collecting social…read moresecurity. Somehow we misplaced our SS record for 2018 and it was never filed on our taxes. MER never asked if we had filed for SS. This year we had the SS form for 2019 and filed it with our taxes. When our 2019 taxes were done, it happened to come out we had collected the year before. So they took our 2018 SS info and completed the forms. Then they charged us a penalty because they could, on top of the cost for the form because we had forgotten it. That penalty they charged us cost them because I will never go back to them. So they collect a little extra this year but lose out on the hundreds each year in the future based on what they have charged us each year in the past.
