Later I found out that the person doing my books is the receptionist at the front desk. In 2024 I asked a question about my 2023 taxes and they found a big mistral and amended my taxes finding out that I owed even more taxes. The owner said that they would pay because of their mistake. Here we are 9 months later and even after several phone calls and physically goons to their office they still have not paid the taxes. They keep saying that the owner said he paid but he never has. I am paying the taxes myself and would never recommend Hamilton and Associates to anyone they are short staffed and incompetent. The receptionist is not a book keeper nor a tax preparer.

I hire a PROFESSIONAL tax preparer so I don't have mistakes on my taxes. I received a letter from Nebraska about my taxes being incorrect. That snowballed into I owed Uncle Sam almost another $1000. My Iowa income tax return was wrong as well. That's 0 tax returns correct of 3. Also my PROFESSIONAL tax preparer said I brought the wrong information. I checked, everything was 2021. The paperwork needed to correct the mistake, was a copy of my wife's 2021 W2, my PROFESSIONAL tax preparer made that copy the day we had our income taxes done. Question: do you hire a professional to have to double check their work? I wasn't offered a refund, or even an apology, so it must have been my fault, I was the person inputting the numbers on the computer. If you work with these people check every number, I wish I would have, except I'm not a PROFESSIONAL tax preparer. That's why I hired one.

We have had multiple issues with Tony and they are still ongoing. Earlier this year, we ended up…read moreowing an additional $4900 on the 2024 state taxes because "Tony messed something up". When you communicate with Tony, he will never give you a straight answer of where he went wrong. The issue ended up going on so long and we weren't notified about it by Tony - instead, going into the end of 2025, we got a letter from the Department of Revenue of the State of Nebraska that if a payment plan or full payment was not made, a lien would be placed on our property. You can imagine our surprise to receive such a letter when we are paying Tony close to $1200/year to file our taxes! A premium price for NOT premium work. Even once we made the full payment on that, Tony took 5 months for the fees to drop off of the bill because he kept claiming "their office is busy". I called their office several times and had no issue getting them on the phone. To top it off, we just submitted our 2025 taxes and we were expecting a return. Lo and behold, the return hasn't come after more than a month later. We had to call the IRS to find out why and it turns out, Tony never submitted our 2023 taxes!!! And now we are being sent an additional bill because he's claiming we owe on the 2023 taxes that he finally just filed. How did he not get notified that the 2023 filing didn't go through? When I spoke to him on the phone, he tried to play this game of "oh you know how these computer systems work"....umm no! That's not how it works! The IRS would have notified him. When he sent us the most recent amount that is now due in back taxes, he also just sent a blanket amount without the breakdown of interest and fees - probably in the hope that we will just pay it and that he doesn't have to cover the fees. Also, once I realize that multiple mistakes were being made on our tax returns, I went through them myself and found additional mistakes! I had switched jobs in March of 2024. I sent Tony both W2s for that year. When I went back through the report, he only filed one of the W2 incomes/taxes and he filed it under the wrong company! Like, this is a job where details matter and when you communicate your frustrations with Tony, he doesn't take care of it. Sometimes we are waiting for months on end and most of the time you can barely reach him by phone. Emails are completely out the window - he never responds, I doubt he even reads them. We will never be doing business here again. Do not do business here unless you want to be dealing with the same headaches that we are - dealing with taxes from 3 years ago due to clerical mistakes from Tony. I saw another poster mentioned making a report to the BBB. I will be posting there as well as making a formal complaint with the IRS.

YIKES! NIGHTMARE ALERT! MUST READ! Karen at KKT Accounting is stalking me and my former business…read morepartner for $150 which she thinks we owe her from YEARS ago. My business partner filed taxes with Karen and had been a previous annual tax customer with Karen on other businesses. I returned to California, my business partner advised her of the move and told her we would no longer need her services. Since moving, and for several years now, Karen has sent bills for $150. I addressed it early on saying we didnt owe her money as I had moved and asked what the bills were for. She said she filed an extension and the $150 would have been the penalty had we not filed it. I had already secured another tax professional in Ca who filed for our business on time. Months went by and the bills kept coming - I wrote back saying we didn't owe her anything as we were never under contract for ongoing accounting services. Karen persisted and asked us to have our Ca tax guy verify that we filed on time. I went the extra mile and emailed my tax CA agent and he verified in writing that he filed for our business on time. He copied Karen. Karen persisted saying she wanted the e-filing accceptance via email. I repeat: WE WERE NOT UNDER ANY CONTRACT WITH KAREN OR KKT ACCOUNTING SERVICES. I told Karen enough was enough. She had an email in writing from our tax agent and I didn't feel our e-file was her perrogative to have given we were not obligated to verify in the first place. To date, Karen continues to email and mail me bills but has now secured the work email of my former business partner. I advised Karen on multiple occasions to stop all communications. She advised me that she is not harrassing me because she is not exceeding the law which states it can't be more than 3-4 emails/mail in a set period of time. Today, I have finally filed a Better Business Bureau complaint to register this as bad business practice. OH, I pay a fraction of the cost for accounting services in California than that of this outrageous business. Stay away! Her prices are too high and she harrasses small businesses for illegimate reasons.
