I've been going to H&R Block for eight years now. I started off going to the one in Yardville, but after my second year going there, they closed for good. I had no complaints with that location, but I am quite happy that I stumbled upon the East Windsor location. As soon as you walk in, you're pleasantly greeted by someone at the front desk and as you wait, there's coffee, water, and treats! Though the prices are pretty much the same as other competitors, the thing that really makes H&R Block stand out from the rest is the flexibility that H&R Block has to offer. For example, if you don't have money to get your taxes done, no problem! They can arrange to have the fees taken out of your refund with a refund anticipation check. They also have numerous ways for you to receive receive your refund. Direct deposit, check, or an H&R Block prepaid Mastercard. One of the most important things that H&R Block offers is "Piece of Mind". Basically there's three levels of protection for you in case there's any problems with your claim. Some people think it's unnecessary, but on the flipside, I know way too many people that got screwed because they went to Joe Smoe do their taxes. So with that said, I'd rather play it safe than sorry. Lastly, everyone at this location is extremely friendly, but my go to person is Lachman. He has a great personality and goes above and beyond to make sure your taxes are done right with the highest return possible. He doesn't just do taxes, but he tries to build a personal relationship with you. One of the things that I really appreciate about him is that he remembers little things. For example, I had totally mentioned a random thing while getting my taxes done and when he called me a couple weeks later for a friendly follow up and thank you, he mentioned that thing and I was totally blown away that he caught that and remembered it. If that's not an example of someone who genuinely cares, then I don't know what is! With that said, tax time can be pretty stressful for most people, so I really appreciate the comfort that Lachman and the rest of the H&R Block team bring me. We use Joe Schwartz to prepare our returns. I used to do my own until I was in Boston with 2 residences, change of companies and 3 States. That was in 2010 at H&R Block in Medford, MA. Have used Joe for 2010, 2011 and 2012 returns plus a 1040X. I think H&R Block is a great value and finds a lot of hidden deductions. read more

We've used H&R Block for quite a few years now and have always had great experiences. Being new to the area, we went to the location on Rt 130 and were supposed to have had an appointment with someone else but were "assigned" to Tanya. Without going into details, suffice it to say that we are now on our SECOND amendment to the original filing and the issues just keep piling up. Never have we had the misfortune of being assigned someone quite so inexperienced and horrible. It's quite sad because before this year's experiences we would have happily continued using this company's services but now we're seriously reconsidering.
