I took the letter to Metcalf and Hodge and they said to not pay it that there were a lot of people with the same letter and they would fix it. Well they didn't fix it and the IRS sent it to collections. Lastly, the communication is horrible! They don't communicate with each other or with me. This has resulted in an inability to reach people in a timely fashion, my calls being dropped, and my customer service emails have gone unanswered. The surrender charges for moving my accounts are pretty hefty. I was told by my local office that moving my accounts was a corporate decision; the corporate office said it was the Bellingham office's decision. Now, if I need an extra distribution or any advice at all, I either have to wait on hold, hoping that my call isn't dropped, or wait for an answer to my email.
