We walked into H&R block after previously meeting with Margaret (who was kind), to sign some paperwork. My husband had questions about the paperwork we were signing (as anyone would), and in response, a woman named Michelle looked at us with a demeanor of disgust and said, "I don't know what you want me to say. You sign the papers". She was short tempered and outright rude. Well, THANK GOD my husband didn't sign the papers, because they had some of our information wrong and were going to send us a check vs. direct deposit, which my husband had requested with Margaret. Additionally, they failed to mention to us that we could file for FREE with H&R block through the military online. Glad we backed out and never signed those papers! My husband and I dropped off our taxes weeks in advance and gave all relevant paperwork, yet, they still had to file an extension. (Though our taxes are not complicated.) Not only that, but they input our bank information incorrectly and we had to wait almost twice as long for our refund. If there's one thing that an accountant should get right, it is "numbers". After we closed our account with them over the tax fiasco, Mr. Freeman assured me in an email that all withdrawals had stopped; however, another withdrawal happened on the first of the following month. When I called the office to request a refund and (once again) stop withdrawals, I was told that I'd receive a refund in 3-5 business days. When no refund was processed, I called the office and they transferred me to Brian. Brian stated that a check had been issued days after the 3-5 business day window had ended and that they can't figure out why withdrawals are still happening. He had an unwelcoming tone and a flippant attitude about the firm's issues. My refund of the money taken out of my business account has still not been received. I currently have little faith that an accountant who has no respect for punctuality or number accuracy and is also unable to control withdrawals from individual business accounts will successfully cancel the subscription service. Do not trust this firm. If there was an option to award zero stars, I would have chosen it.

Ron Scott was hired to represent me on 2 cases. DV and equitable distribution. He drug DV out for 11 months and was more concerned with attacker having a record. Day 1 he wanted to settle even though he could have easily won my case. I learned more about my own case from outside sources than I did from "my own attorney ". it's all about how much money you can pay. He was also supposed to represent me on distribution of marital assets and again No Help at all. He drug it out for 13 months. He was a no show for 4 phone conference appointments. He never ask for evidence, or witnesses or discussed anything except money. He wanted to use the DV case for leverage of Equitable distribution and when I did what he ask me to do, he lied to me. unless it will benefit him financially he will NOT fight for you. They want to make as much money as they can to do as little as possible. He is evasive and manipulative and he Lies. If your kind they will run all over you. if you trust them they will use your Lack of knowledge about the law against you. It's a broken system. unless you are rich and can pay for the "extra" time it will take for them to actually collect evidence needed to fight for you then all you will get is the bare minimum. it's not about Truth or facts. They don't care if your afraid. It's all about money and making as much as possible doing as little as possible. I believe he is competent but he doesn't care! He never intended to fight for me. He just wanted to drag it out to make us settle, to ware us down to except bare minimum.
