Been going here for years. Vicki has always done my taxes and been very professional. I made an appointment online to she her again this year and it let me book her with no problem. I decided to call today to see how to file an extension because my appointment is after the tax date and was told that the office will be closed. The person didn't try to help with filling the extension or tell me how. She was very dry and showed no care at all. If the office is closed they should not let people book online. I even got an email response confirming the appointment. No telling how many people are going to show up to an empty building. This is very unprofessional. read more

Rosie Patino was about as rude as someone could be. She asked me if I had a mask (to which I cannot wear due to lung damage I received from 23 days in the hospital with Covid Pneumonia (2 months at home on oxygen machines). When I told her that I cannot wear them for any length of time she got her tail feathers up in the air and from then treated me like an asshole. You could tell that she had a serious problem with me. I was offended by her tone and demeanor after that. She is very unprofessional and continued to tell me "Um sir. I've been doing this for 15 years" as if that justifies her behavior. To make matters worse she kept spouting off I.R.S tax practices that were straight up bullshit. And all of this because she made up her mind about me as a person. She took a personal call while I was sitting in front of her. She told me I owed HR Block money from a few years back (to which I would gladly pay if it turns out to be true), but it just intensified her unprofessionalism. She is a racist. She took one look at me and decided I was just an evil white man who doesn't deserve respect or fair treatment. She should not be in a position to represent the good H&R Block name. As of now I will never EVER EVER go back H&R Block unless approached by an H&R Block Manager who can undo the hurt and disrespect that I feel right now. I am personally going to my social media accounts (I have 3500 friends on Facebook alone) to share my story and to strongly urge my friends to seek out there tax filing needs elsewhere. I'm going to hit as many review sites as humanly possible to destroy the reputation of that H&R Block location. I will devote the next few days to see that everyone within ear shot can hear exactly what kind of people that this H&R Block location employs. Rosie Patino should either be released of her duties, or at the least sent to multiple sensitivity and professionalism training classes. She spent most of the time dropping little "you might want to do this first before you have me do this" statements. I knew exactly what she was doing. She wanted me to leave so that she wouldn't have to take care of me. Shame on you H&R Block for not vetting out the little racist like Rosie. I did nothing wrong but inform her of my inability to wear a mask for any length of time (and be a white male). She damn near rolled her eyes when she first saw me. I get it, I'm not the best looking man in the world; however I still deserve respect and to be treated with a certain degree of dignity and decorum. She is clearly incapable of that. Maybe I would have faired better if I had taken my half Hispanic children with me. I called TurboTax and told one of their agents the things she said and that agent was mortified by Rosie's behavior and complete disregard for the I.R.S. laws. In fact I am seriously considering taking this to the local news, and to my attorney. I'm offended and pissed off. You think I'm just barking at ya? Ask around about me. I have zero conscience about doing what needs to be done to restore my honor. You messed up Mrs. Patino...and now you will pay. Past years I've always done my taxes online with Turbo Tax and being a young single professional with no dependents, I barely get anything or actually owe the government! This year I decided maybe I need a professional to do them for me. When I went in I was warmly greeted and promptly seated with a tax professional. There was absolutely no wait and from the time I stepped into the office to the time I left was all but 15 minutes. They were very helpful in informing of what kind of deductions I could take and in the end I actually got back $200 more than I expected to get. I know it being early in the tax season had a big part in my experience. Still, it was so quick and painless that I will start going here every year for my taxes. read more

I would give zero stars if possible! The H&R Block agent that did my taxes left off a W2 which I got notified by the IRS by letter and I attempted to take the letter to the H&R Block office but it had closed. I thought I would just take it to my current CPA to fix but she couldnt do it b/c she did not file my taxes that year. I then found another location and took the letter thinking they would pay the $1600 since it was their mistake. I was informed b/c the letter was over 60 days old the "peace of mind" I purchased, meaning if they make a mistake they pay was void. It took them another 2 weeks to fix that mistake so in total I paid $1900. Now a few months later I get another letter from the IRS saying they forgot to include schedule C when they filed the amendment. I made an appointment for them to review and fix their 2nd mistake but was told when I arrived the person I needed to fix the mistake wasnt in and I would have to come back Saturday. I was also told there would likely be a charge to me for them to fix their 2nd mistake on my taxes. They did not pay the tax or penalty as promised when I purchased peace of mind, they charged me over $500 to prepare my taxes incorrectly twice, stood me up for my appt that I left work early to make, and now want to charge me more money to fix THEIR mistakes! Unless you have money to throw away and time to waste I would NOT recommend H&R Block for even simple taxes! They are horrible, have no idea what they are doing, and most importantly do NOT stick by their promises! read more
