Few years later (we continued using turbo tax) or return was way too low, something was wrong with turbo tax, so bright then in and got the right return amount. That was the last straw with using tax software, I'm going with millhouse from now on. The process has been easy as well, I just send in my tax info as it comes, they tell me what items to look for, give advice on how to get further deductions and keep more of my money with me through ira accounts and such. I submitted my documentation in February, and it took this company until April 15th to have my taxes ready for review. I ended up owing the federal government over $10,000, and all we got from the lady at the front desk was a "Sorry, you didn't withhold enough, here's the payment voucher to pay your bill." I also have a locums position as a 1099 employee, and their estimate for my quarterly tax withholding was way off the mark, due to their poor communication. It was extremely stressful to try to figure out my estimated taxes on my own 3 days prior to them being due - as a person who is not a CPA....this is what I paid them to do!
