I've always used H&R Block online and typically do my taxes myself. However, my 2023 taxes were a bit of a doozy. I really didn't even know where to begin. After logging in online and giving it an honest go, I decided it was best to hand it over to the professionals. And goodness am I glad I did! I was paired up with an expert at this location and the experience was a breeze. Jim was great to work with, was patient and answered all my questions. Most of our communication was online through the website but we did connect over the phone to run through everything and get it finalized. It took less than a week from start to finish and thanks to him I was able to get everything submitted by the deadline. It was also fairly affordable. Came in around $400. totally screwed me last year on my taxes the person that was doing my taxes had me listed as head of household which I should have been because I had a dependent she had a simple question for the manager the manager came over and changed my filing status to single I had to pay a totally different tax company to get me the money that I was owed. They screwed me out of $2000 H&R Block did if I had not went through TurboTax I would've never got the money I was owed H&R Block are idiots. I wish that I could give this location 0 stars. A month after scheduling a tax appointment I showed up, checked in and waited for half an hour in the lobby. After waiting for 30 minutes an employee came out and informed me that they had given my appointment to a walk-in client and they would not be able to prepare my taxes after all. They didn't mention this to me when I checked in and made no apologies for giving away my appointment or for making me wait half an hour for nothing.
