I left from here as i was told i didn't have all my tax paper documents and forms and they cant file my taxes for me without having all the documents with me.. i came home going through the trash and all my envelopes over and over. Stressing myself out and getting mad at myself thinking i threw it away. Went through the envelopes i brought with me, and the form 1099 G I was looking for was there with my W2 this entire time... I was really excited to do my taxes. In the past my parents have always helped me out but I moved 7 hours away and figured it's time to grow up because I'm almost 21. I had a lot of questions about how things worked and made sure I set up and appointment so that I could have time to ask what I needed to ask. Long story short the lady who helped me out didn't speak very good English, wouldn't speak up or repeat what she said when I told her I couldn't hear her and just had a bad attitude. She also told me it was $200 to set up the appointment and get it done and I had questions about that but never got an answer. I didn't know what I was doing and I understand how that could be irritating, but I genuinely felt like I wasn't welcome and that I was wasting her time. I'm very upset about this and if I could talk to her manager I would. read more

I had an appointment at 9am. When I walked in, someone from the back walked up and seemed a little annoyed and confused as to why I was there. I said I had a 9am appointment and she acted like she was completely unaware. She told me to follow her to her desk. She sat down, faced me and just stared at me. She finally asked me what she could help me with and I said I had an appointment to file my taxes on paper and why I couldn't efile. I explained to her the issue I was having, which was that I never received an IP pin from the IRS in the mail, to file online and that the pin on the IRS website was being rejected. Turbotax told me I needed to have my taxes mailed in. "Mirela Dudi" shook her head and said no and had me log in to the IRS website where she located the pin. She asked me if I recognized the pin and I said no, as I hadn't tried it again after the last five times it got rejected. She insisted I was doing it wrong, printed the page with the pin on it and told me to go try it again and that it will work. If not, she would charge me "$3-400". She asked to see what I had and stared at my w-2 and then looked up at me and asked if I had the documents for my daughter, which I did not. She questioned a couple of times, in a condescending way, why I didn't have my daughter's social memorized, which was a completely weird thing to grill me about. I'm sorry I don't have it memorized for you. Let's move on. I told her I would try the pin again even though I knew it wouldn't work just to get out of there. I went outside, entered the pin again and less than an hour later, the IRS rejected it again, citing the pin was incorrect. At a loss, I was finally able to get in touch with the IRS and told her how I was treated and she was able to figure something out for me. Mirela was extremely rude and weird. She did a lot of awkward staring and there were many silent gaps in between her asking me questions. The questions came off with attitude and she insisted I was wrong and shook her head at me a lot. I felt really stupid and uncomfortable. I'll never use H&R block again and she shouldn't be allowed to directly work with people. Not friendly or welcoming at all. read more

H&R Block - Tax Services Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

I have been a long time H&R block customer in Northern CA, and after recently moving to Las Vegas I decided to continue doing my tax return with them. The customer service was excellent, and the front clerk was friendly, but I was put with a tax preparer that was fairly new and was not sure of what she was doing. I had all my documents ready and prepared and she mentioned I needed the document for the sale of my home in California which I had with my documents, but she was inexperienced to relize. She then proceeded to ask questions of her other co-workers of how she would do this or appy that. She then proceeded to say I would be getting $500 back then mentioned she forgot to add something and I now owe $1. She then proceeded to say I would be charged $280 for services, I declined and thank her for her time and told her I would like to get another opinion on my taxes. Nothing against H&R Block, just make sure you get someone experienced with the tax return you will be doing. Also just a note to H&R Block, have your new employees do simple tax returns first to gain experience, and have someone experienced shadow them as they slowly get taxes for homeowners/buisness owners. read more

First, we called prior to making an appointment and were told that Fed joint returns were starting at $50 and that CA state return were starting at $45. So estimated $95-$150 in our mind set, since we don't own a home or anything else crazy. Regarding the identity tax shield. When Robert Marin was trying to sell us on the features, we specifically asked him if the credit score option was for both of us. He said yes, so we decided to go with it. Come to find out when we get home I read over the paperwork and it is only for the "Primary" So I call and cancel it. Dishonest. I'm assuming he gets commision on it and that is why he pushed it so hard. We kept the peace of mind coverage, but I am sure he lied to us a bit on that too. Also when doing our tax return, he failed to mention the clause where we would allow H&R Block & its affiliates to spam the crap out of our phone numbers via text and voice. I saw this when reviewing the documents, he did not mention this and WE DO NOT AUTHORIZE H&R Block to send us ANY promotional details with any company . Or any marketing information. We only wish for communications relating to our tax return. If you would be so kind to revoke that as we were mislead and never would have agreed to it. I personally have done taxes with you guys for several years. Usually I pay $50-$75. The year before last I had my "own business" and paid $380, which i thought was ridiculous, so last year I still used HR Block but did it online and only paid $15. With the additional features we had selected, we had only expected around $162. Little did we know that you guys charges fees for EVERYTHING. Fees for getting credits that should be free & would be with other companies, like the school & ACA Exempt fees. (Who charges a fee for not being charged a fee?) Being as we had a short insurance gap only while my husband switched jobs (Because they won't give new coverage until after 60-90 days.) Since I had done my taxes with you guys for so long, even with the bad experience I had 2 years ago, I had decided to give you guys another try, I suppose that was a mistake. From now on, we will be filling online since our returns are quite simple. (still don't understand why they put my husband on the CA return when he never lived in CA or had anything to do with the $ I made in CA, as that was prior to our marriage). Robert was also somewhat argumentative about things I had mentioned I had written off previously when I had my own business. (which was a senior representative at another H & R Block that wrote them off, so that just makes me lose more faith in this company, since he is practically arguing with another tax rep, and not me). read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am a very understanding person I don't complain at all and I definitely didn't even when I walked in, I just went to a different location but I must say, the current receptionist at the front desk she's very beautiful light skin with curly hair has a terrible attitude and does not know how to greet customers with a friendly attitude which is very important in customer service. Me and my husband got there and we were not greeted and just got a bland and slightly annoyed "what do you need?" and with what I noticed as an eye roll. When I let her know I was a walk-in her attitude seemed to get worse, although she did make the appointment for me I did not appreciate any of it, I still thanked her and right away left to a different H&R Block location that was way better not to mention next to me the couple who had an appointment was told that their tax preparer was 15 minutes late, how unprofessional. This location needs better customer service skills. read more

Our session ran a bit over my scheduled appointment and she made time for me later that afternoon to finish up. That was very helpful.
