I waisted 2 days with this company. After applying online with a 3rd party source I received a…read morephone call from Esmeralda asking about my inquiry. I told her I needed a loan, but in the last year I haven't been able to really pay my bills due to injury. I explained I am now getting in my feet and trying to fix things and need a loan until my settlement comes in. However; I have really bad credit at the moment. Instead of just letting me go, she proceeded to tell me that was why I had been sent to them and wanted to schedule an appointment. She told me all I needed was proof of income and a valid I.D. So I made an appointment with her and spent over 2 hours only to be told they needed more information to validate my income. I asked her if I had the individual, whom works for the government, write up a receipt/letter if that would work and she said it would. I went back the next day with the requested documents and spent another 2-3 hours only to be told they couldn't give me a loan because of my bad credit. Then as if to add insult to injury I found out a bit later that they did a hard inquiry on me. WTF!!! This obviously affected my credit and will for the next couple of years. What a huge waste of my time and left me in a worse spot then when I answered that phone call.

I still ended up waiting about 25 minutes til it was my turn. Turns out both customers were both getting loans which takes up a good chunk of time. There should always be one associate available to help customers with simple transactions like cashing a check. I was tempted to go elsewhere but thats just a waste of more gas and time. So since I barely ever cash checks I had to fill out a Check Cashing Application which includes all the basic info: Name , address, social security number, work info, and 2 references. Seems like a little much just to cash a check so for those of yall who are new to Check City. Keep that in mind. They require current info every 6 months. Besides check cashing and loans.... You could also pay certain bills and purchase a bus pass. Overall. Both ladies were very nice. Place was really clean.
