I'm old school when it comes to my taxes so I appreciate tax preparers who are willing to meet face-to-face (especially the first time) to review my documentation (i.e. my prepared spreadsheets). I don't like the idea of sending my documentation to a business via email (even with a secured site) or dropping them off to an office. When it comes to business, money, and/or financial planning, I want to sit across from a seasoned professional and have a conversation. Ms. Barrett was on-time, courteous, knowledgable, friendly, and patient. Those are just some of the superlatives that I would attribute to her upon our first meeting. I have been a client of yours for three years now and have never been this dissatisfied with your office. The level of customer service I received from Mandy "General Manager" is the lowest and worst I have ever received from any place of business in my entire life. I have never in my entire life written an email to a business about the poor quality of service. However, I am in the customer service business and I feel you all should be aware of the treatment and service Mandy provides. On multiple occasions I have been given the run-around from Mandy. I asked to schedule an appointment with Mike which Mandy made very difficult for me with many back and forth emails. I explained to Lisa, who is extremely helpful and polite, that there has been substantial changes in my household from Home Refinance to my 18 Year old employed all of 2020 to company change for myself and that I would like to sit with Mike to examine and evaluate the best option. Lisa understands this however Mandy made it extremely difficult to schedule me a 30 min session. Today, I emailed Mandy to reschedule my Friday appointment to next week and again received the run-around and back and forth emails stating " We do not have any openings on either of those days. Your best bet is to drop your documents off and we can call you to discuss any questions you have" I had already dropped off all my documents last week to Lisa this way your office is prepared ahead of time. I do not know why she is instructing me to "drop my documents off again" When Mandy replied We do not have any openings on either of those days I responded "Let's then set it up for the following Thursday or Friday"  again Mandy replied "We do not have any openings on either of those days. Your Best bet is to drop your documents off and we can call you to discuss any questions you may have." How rude to reply back again with the same message. I finally decided I have had enough of this and called the office. I spoke with Lisa and asked to look in the calendar for an available Thursday and Friday and she quickly penciled me in for Friday. After I finished speaking to Lisa I asked to be transferred to Mandy to understand why I am receiving this type of treatment and service and why Lisa was able to quickly reschedule me. Mandy was extremely rude and defensive with me. She advised me TWICE to take my business elsewhere. I cannot believe my ears. I cannot believe a "General Manger" of a place of business would ever say this to a new client or an existing client ever. Mandy also had the audacity and guts to tell me I am busy and this call is taking long so she hung up on me mid sentence.  I am extremely disturbed by this entire experience with Mandy. The owner Mike doesn't seem to acknowledge or take responsibility of the way business is executed here. Mike responded in an email back stating I can go do business elsewhere. I'm am in shock. Everyone beware and take your business elsewhere.

I had a rare day off from work and emailed them in the morning to inquire about setting up an appointment. They responded quickly and were able to schedule me in for an appointment the same day. I met with Mike Grace and we discussed my business needs. He was very knowledgeable and had an answer for every question I had. I didn't have a clue what I was supposed to do regarding business taxes before I spoke to him, but once I did, I had a clear plan of action to take going forward. But we did not understand how drastic the changes would be. We went from getting about $2,000 back per year to owing $6,000!!! We thought that our refund would be very small or that we would about break even. An $8,000 swing is crazy. Tax laws are purposely complicated. I'm not a CPA. I don't understand tax law. That's what I pay Noto for. He's supposed to know these things. I feel that since the changes were so huge in 2018 that he should have given his customers the courtesy of a quick phone call or an e-mail. How difficult would it have been for him to just type a quick e-mail blast to tell everyone to look at changing their deductions? He had a whole year. Did he just not want to deal with the number of customers wishing to schedule appointments to discuss their taxes? I also corrected a mistake he made on one of our returns a few years ago. I remember him chuckling and saying, "Don't tell anybody." Also, I started doing a review program with Best Buy last year. They send me products to test and I review them on their website. I called Noto to ask him about the tax implications of this before starting the program and he told me that if I kept the products to under $5,000 worth for the year I should be OK. I did about $2,000 worth of products and that screwed us. So he was wrong about that also. So I stand by my review. The man is useless and I will NOT be paying for his services again. I know some other customers of his that were also blind-sided by their 2018 taxes and won't be using him either. I am not the only customer he has lost over this.

For anyone complaining that you weren't advised to change your deductions in 2018 and wound up with a huge tax bill, unless you've been living in a bomb shelter for the past year, not paying attention to the news, it's your own fault. Every year when I pick my taxes up, if I owe, I always received advise from Frank or his team on how to avoid payments for the next year.
