We made an appointment at this location for a second look on our taxes today. The lady that works the front, very rudely informed us that they don't do second looks in April. She said, "We only help people that actually NEED to get their taxes done." Wow! Nowhere on their website does it say this! It's no wonder I'm going to a CPA for taxes. Need a copy of last year's returns and have done it before at other stores without incurring a charge. Was told that it would be a 10$ charge. I was also told they'd be ready to be picked up at 1pm and they are hairline trying to figure out how to print them out for me. Sounds very unorganized if you ask me. The lady at desk is very nice though and waived the fee because of the hassle.. read more

Quite disappointed in their service. Seemed they were only interested in providing services with which would get them their fees while providing minimal service. They didn't know how to get my state taxes refunded after not living in the state for the year. I was subjected to paying higher sales taxes in a state that had no state income tax and still paying my Ca income tax while receiving no services from the state. read more

My tax professional, Bob, wasn't very professional at all. He looked like a bum. Messy hair, bad breathe, wrinkled dirty clothes. He finished our taxes in less than 15 minutes. Never asked one question about my 2013 and found no deductions for me. He tried to charge me $250. He wont accept my $20 off coupon that came from his office. I argued and negotiated for 15 minutes. I spend more time getting my money back from H&R Block than I did trying to get money back from the government. Don't go to this office. read more

For the first time ever I paid to get my taxes done this year. I got married last year and took money out of my 403B plan, so I wanted to make sure everything was done correctly. Steve was our tax guy and he got us a ton of tax breaks that I would have never gotten if I had done them on my own. He also informed me that I can write off anything that I buy for work (scrubs, shoes, stethoscope, gas...). We'll definitely be going back next year. read more

I went and got my taxes done on JANUARY 28th by Alyssa and while I was getting them done I asked her if I needed to show proof of insurance because I had to last year and she said no your good, well 2 months later and about 10 phone calls asking why I haven't gotten my return yet all she would tell me is "you just have to wait it's still processing" well I in fact did have to bring in proof of insurance that's why I never got my refund, so after 2 months of waiting I brought in my 1095-A and she said she faxed it in. Now it is April 30th and I STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN MY REFUND! I called the front desk asking what I need to do and they said I couldn't get an appointment for 2 weeks!!!! They have no care for customers! I paid to get my taxes done and 3 months have gone by and I have still gotten nothing!! I will NEVER use H&R Block again and neither will anyone in my family! Your company has lost business because of laziness! read more

I always have my taxes filed using H&R Block and this year went into the Granite Dr. location. My tax preparer was Deana. She was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Although I had some anxiety coming in, she put me at ease. I was able to get in and out quickly too, which was good as I had my little one with me. I had gone here a couple years ago to file my 2011 taxes because my fiancé's family had gone here for years to do their taxes. George Bills did them since that is the person who they had dealt with for years. In my appointment I had my work w-2 and my EDD w-2 from when I had my daughter the previous year I was on PFL. When I gave George my EDD w-2 he took a quick look at it and told me the income was not taxable and gave me the w-2 back. Since he said it wasn't taxable I didn't think anything of it. Last November I received a letter from the IRS saying I owe money because I did not report my PFL income in 2011! I called IRS to dispute this and told them the tax guy said it wasn't taxable and IRS said that is wrong. IRS took $913 out of my tax return this year. I went to HR Block to tell them about this since I had purchased the "peace of mind protection" so they can give me my money back. George Bills called me back saying I NEVER GAVE HIM THE FREAKING EDD W-2 (Which is a blatant lie!) SO THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO and HR Block denied my claim. They need to rename "peace of mind" to "let's just do your taxes wrong for a crap load of money, lie to the IRS, and not help you when you get in trouble!" Thank god I learned to do my own taxes! Don't go to here people! Waste of your money!! read more

My husband & I decided to actually get our taxes done this year instead of doing Turbo Tax, because Turbo Tax was telling us we owed a chunk this year which we were confused about. So we made an appt, showed up on time for our appt, waited a 1/2 hour after our appt time to be seen. The man who was our tax preparer (Bob) was old, dirty looking, messy hair, and white gunk all in his teeth.We looked passed the unprofesional appearance and told him straight up why we were there, that we wanted to get a tax preparers advice, by looking at our very easy tax return if he thought we should owe money this year. He got out a huge book, flipped through some pages, scrolled down some lines and said that for federal it looks like we should get at least $1000 refund. We thought that sounded how it should be, So we decided to proceed with the tax prep. In the end we owed federal over $600. Owed state double that.So we asked him what happened to the $1000 refund he told us in the beginning we should get, he just mumbled some stuff and stumbled over his words. So we obviously didn't leave happy, and went home and punched in all the same stuff into Turbo Tax and got the same exact result, to the penny. So we paid Bob over $200 for his easiest tax return of the day. We will never use H&R Block again. read more

This was my first time having someone do my taxes for me. I had several W-2 forms as well as student loan information to deal with, that was too much for me to do online. I called in a week ahead, and the lady who answered the phone was very polite and informative. I came in for my appointment and was politely greeted and quickly introduced to Bob who would be doing my taxes. He was very polite and friendly He was slightly more casually dressed than I expected but it did not seem messy or unprofessional. I saw behind his desk he had a certificate that said he'd been doing this for 10 years and felt very much at ease. He quickly imputed my information and all of my forms. He explained each step and answered any questions I had in regards to fees I had to pay, and my refund. I had a coupon from the mail for $20 off and they took the coupon without asking any hesitation. I will be using this office in the future and asking for Bob. read more
