My appointment got canceled 4 times set up a new time they moved it to another time without letting me know. Had taxes done paid $280 taught I was all done next day got a call they didn't copy my paperwork went back in copied my paperwork. 2 weeks later went back in to check if everything was okay never got acknowledged about my taxes so I was curious. They said they were not done because I hadn't paid the fee was $280 but it went up to $285 so they just sat on my taxes paid the extra $5 let's see what happens now fingers crossed the worst experience ever read more

Tax season...it's my favorite time of year...NOT! But as your taxes get more complicated sometimes it's just nice to have that human touch to talk to and ask questions which I why I started going to H&R Block. This is my first year at this location and it I prefer it over the uptown one for a few reasons. One they have a nice large free parking lot and it's also bigger and cleaner. The lady I saw was very attentive and took the time to answer all questions but yet I was still done much faster than last year, which was nice. She also gave me advice on ways I could lower my taxes next year. They have all these promotions that you can get your taxes done free but that's never been the case for me and it's not cheap but you can write off the cost next year if you do itemized expenses. If you don't have the standard plug and play type of form I highly recommend getting a professional tax person to help you out. read more

I have been coming to this location for 3 years now.. I usually see Marcia. I had been going to another location, which i will not say which one it was--but it was a little "off". lol I am almost 100% sure the guy at the other location that had done my taxes twice before didnt do it correct, so i just switched locations and ended up with Marcia. She is very nice,, bubbly and and has a good sense of humor but professional. She thanked me for coming back in this year, and she says that is what makes her day go smoother. Return clients that trust you and that you get along with. We always have a good time and laughs while she is serving me. I highly recommend her to anyone. I went to this location for help with fixing/understanding my w4s. I had gone to another location to do my taxes and wanted a second opinion and advice on how to change things for next year. I won't say who I went to, but the person was very short with me from the start. First thing they said was "this could have been done over the phone" as if I was wasting their time. Ok well 1.) your website says tax professionals can help with w4s and you can make an appt 2.) I didn't know to call, and 3.) if I block out and hour of your and my time to drive all the way down there than you could be a bit nicer. Then they were like "why didn't you go back to the other person?" "Why did you bring this?". Just rude. The person made me feel stupid and literally took 2 min to flip through my stuff. Came out with the same knowledge I went in and didn't even try to help really. I understand people have bad days. But if your job is to help people and help them understand things...and you don't like that...then maybe you shouldn't be in that profession. Won't be going back. read more

I stopped in on 3/12/2016 to ask for some help in figuring some amortization and depreciation charts because I was under the impression that tax specialists had their computers with the special computing programs to do this by just entering some information such as the amount, the number of years, for straight line or declining balances, etc.,. However, I was told that none of the people that were working there could do this, and I would have to contact a specialist for this help. These people are supposed to be tax specialists I thought ! Any way, I went home and watched tutorial videos on YouTube how to figure the tables out for a 7 year 200 DB, with the various percentages that are used during these 7 years. I watched a tutorial video for a 15 year amortization. Also, I watched a tutorial for a 15 year chart for a Straight Line Depreciation Expense and Cumulative Depreciation. So I have been able now to create my three charts without any help from them, and the man I spoke to there told me that I would have to speak to a specialist at a different office and make an appointment because none of them could help me, this is why I am giving them a ONE STAR. read more
