Professional corporation? I think not. Last year's taxes took this Springfield-based "professional corporation" over two weeks to complete. We were repeatedly insulted when we asked for clarification or guidance. And when our accountant wasn't busy demeaning one of us over the telephone, she was engaged in trading loud and noxious barbs with her partner in the background. It was all like a bad episode of Seinfeld -- and from the later seasons. We were also given misinformation and, as a result, incurred an enormous tax liability. To add insult to injury our now former accountant badgered us for immediate payment of a FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR invoice for a very simple set of tax filings. It took our new accountant all of an hour to complete our federal and state tax forms this year. The charge? A mere $150.00. Caveat emptor.
