I arrived for my scheduled appointment and was the girl who was assisting me was very nice, she needed some assistance from her coworker to complete my filing since she was not familiar with my out of state forms, understandable. After all was completed she had me sign all required forms and told me it would be two to three weeks for my return to post to my account. Fast forward twenty four days later and my return still has not posted to my account. I logged into the IRS website and it showed that they had not received my filing yet. I immediately called Tom's and told them that the IRS did not receive my filing, the girl who answered the phone pulled up my file and said "Oh, we need one more signature from you and we called you about it". I told her I never received a call about needing another signature, I even went into my call log to confirm. She could not tell me who called or when they called. She said I would have to come back in to sign the document that they missed. When I went back into the office to sign I asked her again who called me and when and she said she did not have that information and that if she wanted me to escalate it to Tom that he would not get back to me until after April 15th, this was on March 16th. She handed me the page to sign, no sorry for the inconvenience, no sorry for the delay,no sorry you had to come back in,nothing. I understand tax season is a stressful time for this business but you can show a little compassion to your customers.

Just under $700.00 more than three times what I paid in the past. Lee never met me in person he only spoke to me over the phone had told me I could drop the papers and documents at his office. When all was said and done he filed a 1040 and a couple of state tax returns where I owed a total of 8-12 dollars. I went in to pick up the return and again Lee did not even stick his head out (Probably because of his shame). They just handed me my packet and a bill for $695.00. At first I thought maybe my old CPA friend was just taking care of me all these years and then I followed up with another firm and they were flabbergasted over his charges as well. Did they file my taxes... Yes. Did I get Audited...No. Will I ever do business with Lee or the Wiley, Wiley firm again NO. She told me she could have them made automatically, so I said Yes. What she didn't say was that they would be made on whatever day taxes were due and not the same date as my regular tax payment. She made regular tax payment but no estimated taxes. So I tried to call her office and never got an answer, this was before April 15. So I paid estimated taxes myself. So after I made a double estimated tax payment by check, these taxes were taken out April 15 or 16. I called her office after April 15 and she said she was on vacation (before tax date, really). I wanted to know companys name of who was taking out estimated taxes and wanted them to stop. Her reply was she had called them and they couldn't stop. Later in summer I went to Wells Fargo banker and she said this was unethical and not legal to not give me name of company deducting my money. I had to put in a stop payment order with the bank and was charged for this of course. I would say don't use her, because she lies or doesn't know what the law is. Also I tried to call her before stop payment order put in and again never answers phone.
