DO NOT GO HERE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF FOR THEIR OWN GAIN. The quoted me over 3k to owe and when I went through TurboTax I got $4500 BACK. I went in to have my taxes done today. First of all, I made an appointment with one associate through the online portal who was supposedly an "expert" with complicated taxes. After sitting in the waiting area a while, they passed me off to a woman I did not select to work with. By the end, she quoted me nearly 3k I would owe. When I told her that sounds crazy, she had her colleague come check her work. He quickly identified she didn't check the first home buyer box, dropping my taxes owed to $1000. When we asked her to keep going back through, she doubled down on her work. She wouldn't let me itemize my deductions, telling me my job didnt qualify for it, and was extremely unhelpful and lazy. Before we left she quoted us 2k back in taxes and $700 for her services (which was just typing in the forms we did because they don't staff CPAs there. We came home and my spouse did my taxes online with TurboTax and a certified CPA. Guess how much I get BACK??? over $4,000. So H&R Block wanted me to pay $3000, but now I'm making over $4000? I had an issue where I owe a debt. I have been trying to pay it and they seem to have come up with 3 different numbers. Customer service gives me one. One store gives me another. And this location where I actually did my taxes at can't even figure out what's going on so I can pay it. Very scary place to trust when it's all about your money. If I could give no stars for the service I was given here I would. Take your taxes somewhere else. I figured they would take care of a First Responder but no My Taxas weren't even done right and I was charged good money! Then found out I could have gotten another 600 dollars from another tax professional there that was not a part of doing my taxes but the person that originally Mrs. day screwed up on my taxes. I had the worst experience. I used hr block last year and paid 49.00. For the same process 2020 it cost me 164.00 at 1st and I was getting less back. when I questioned the preparer Mary she was too busy but I later found out she didn't include my property tax. She had to redo it which added 500 to my refund. And guess what they added a 130.00 to my bill. My sister used jackson Hewitt paid 49.00. I will never use hr block again.
