We are pleased with our experience with Sean and his team at H Countertops. Sean was involved in the process from start to finish (he was there for the estimate, the templating, and the installation). He was also great with communication via text and phone throughout the whole process. He brought samples of quartz with him the day of the estimate, and was helpful when trying to decide what would look best in our home according to the look we were going for. We had gotten other estimates as well, and Sean worked with us on his competitive pricing, which we feel was quite fair. We chose sparkling white quartz for our kitchen countertops, butlers pantry, loft wall desk, guest bathroom, and master bathroom. It was a beautiful choice, and it really brings a bright and sparkly pop to our home. His team did a great job installing all of our countertops throughout our home. They even went above and beyond to make a special cut (not an easy one!) in our backsplash for an outlet in our master bathroom that we didn't want to part with. At the end of installation, we got to go around and ask for any adjustments/leveling/extra caulking we felt was necessary. The team gladly made the adjustments, and cleaned up after themselves as well. We used Sean's recommended plumber (Lorenzo) for disconnecting and reconnecting all of the plumbing, and we are so very glad we did. Lorenzo was priced so well and fair, and he gladly came back the next day to adjust our sinks when we noticed they were slightly slanted, and not as level as we had thought they were the day before. Overall, we are happy with the choice we made in working with Sean and his team. The only downfall we would report is being the last installation on a Friday evening around 4pm. It was very apparent the team was tired after a long week, and was clear they wanted to go home after a long day. They were stuck at our home until around 7:45pm, and were getting antsy to head out (which, who wouldn't at almost 8pm on a Friday). With that said, the only thing we would recommend is to try and request an install in the beginning of the week (or mid week), and ask for the earliest possible appointment if you want to avoid a late night. We were really excited to work with this company.  Unfortunately the finished product has left us disappointedand having to turn elsewhere to get it resolved.  The project entailed replacing our countertops with quartz in two sections of our kitchen (one area surrounding our stove/cooktop, and the other in our coffee nook).  We had asked for full height backsplashes that consisted of one piece on each wall, which we did not get.  Instead, a 4" seamed piece of quartz was installed on our main/feature wall behind the stove under the hood.  This came as a complete surprise as it was not communicated to us at any point in time.  We learned of it only after it was installed on the wall.  We were clear with Sean on wanting single pieces of quartz on each wall.  When asked about it he admitted he didn't recall this and said that he'd been dealing with "30 other customers" since that conversation.  More concerning is the poor craftsmanship and the fact that the seamed piece is not level with the rest of the backsplash.  It is clearly installed at an angle which is baffling.  It also appears chipped and has other imperfections which were touched up at the seam.  On the other piece of backsplash on that wall, the cuts around the cabinets are inconsistent which are quite noticeable, and frankly embarrassing. We voiced our concerns to Sean.  He knew we weren't happy with the seamed piece on the main/feature wall, to which he replied he could either install a shelf in replacement of the quartz (not what we paid or asked for), or he said we could lower the hood.  He went as far as to ask me how tall I was as though if I were short enough it would justify lowering the hood.  Not exactly a professional response.  I asked him about the fact that the seamed piece of quartz below the hood was not level with the rest of the backsplash.  He admitted he wasn't aware of this.  I invited Sean to come back out to our home to review the work (twice, actually), yet he has not done this.  Sean offered to refund us $500, or to take care of the labor if I were to purchase another slab, both of which we declined because we believe the job was not done correctly in the first place.  We paid $4,400 in total for these two sections, and I don't believe I should need to come out of pocket any more than I already have.  I don't want a $500 refund; I want the job to be done right.  Sean told us we should have written up the contract differently regarding the seamed piece--but he is missing the point entirely that the job was done poorly, and the backsplash doesn't look professionally installed. I respect Sean's business and reputation and in no way is this review meant to disparage him or his company.  He seems like a decent guy and I can see that he has done outstandingwork for others--but not in our case.  We have been made to feel like we weren't important and that in the end we are wrong, or that somehow this is our fault.  The fact that he refuses to come back to inspect the work is astonishing.  Thisis an honest assessment of my experience in dealing with him and to show the condition of my kitchen that we're left with. I will absolutely take this post down if Sean decides to make it right and replace the quartz behind our stove.  If not, I will proceed with resolving this by other means read more
