They overall do a good job. However I picked up my order today and not so much. I bought fresh baked croissants or so I thought. They were baked or packaged on 02/09 and end of life is 02/12/2026. There are 6 of them in the container that go bad tomorrow. Why would they even sell them at full price? I will throw most of them away tomorrow night and never be able to order them again. My other complaint is that if I order 6 cans of dog food, it is because I need 6 cans, not 4. Three dogs equals 6 cans. If you can't match the order, then explain that you don't have that much. I love the service. The people are fantastic. They just need to work on a lot of small issues. read more

Best place to grocery shop in Tomball over other competitors in Tomball area employees are always friendly and helpful

Good selections usually. The meats are better than other grocery stores in the area. The gluten free choices are less than stellar.

When we arrived, there were not too many people; however, they started piling in not long after. This location is on the smaller side, but there seemed to still be enough parking for everyone. Unfortunately I had a pricing issue that required me to go to customer service. They were able to quickly resolve and send me on my way though. Actually I would not even give it 1 star!! Customer service is greatly lacking! We went thru the Express that is 10 items or less and I have no problem with this rule as they call it. I also shop for my 95 year old mother who can in no way manage a cart so I put all the items for my self and her in one cart since I am also elderly and in no way could manage 2 carts at one time! My husband is usually accompanying me to help. He checks her items and I usually check ours - different accounts for different people but use one cart. They really use aggressive tactics when approaching you regarding this! I am no way breaking their so called rules as I don't go over 10 items at all! No sign anywhere you have to have 1 cart for each person! Really scary the way they approach you. Also witnessed them go over to a much elderly lady that was bagging her food as she went and the nasty girl ran over and proceeded to snatch her bags from her cart and just dump them back har cart tossed the bags aside suspended her order and told her to go to another register. So sad since the majority of people that shop there are elderly and should never ever be treated this way!! read more

Old old old store. In HUGE need of a refurbishment. Looks closer to a large gas station convenience store than a H‑E‑B grocery store. I assume H‑E‑B owns the entire strip mall area and the closed / abandoned stores around it gives an uneasy feeling when shopping there. That's about the good of it. read more

If you want to have a self checkout have people with less items go and help them or let more then 10 items go to self checkout

This place has some great prices on some items compared to their competition, and I love how they have things in their produce you can't find at the other big grocery chains. The over-all feel of the place is kinda of cramped. Besides that, I didn't really see anything too negative about the place, for now. read more

Welp, the employees here are not very friendly at all (the cashiers anyway). I get it, being a cashier sucks; I've been there; but you don't have to ignore everyone and chat with your buddy over on register 3 all night. I even TRIED talking to one of the cashiers, like made an EFFORT, and he still ignored me. Psshhh. The deals here are pretty good, especially if you get ahold of those yellow coupons they hang up, but this store is just a total train wreck in general. Be prepared to hang out with a lot of customers and employees that will make you roll your eyes about twelve-thousand times. read more

I do all of our grocery shopping here because the prices are great, the employees are knowledgeable on many items, the store is very clean and they have an awesome selection on organic foods. It is generally crowded at 6 p.m. everyday, especially on the weekend. The best time to go is on an early morning weekday or at around 8 p.m. on a weekday. I highly recommend doing your shopping here to cut time (unlike Walmart) and to save money! read more

I moved from Lufkin 2 years ago after having lived there for 3 1/2 years. When we moved there, I was delighted to find an HEB as the city we'd moved from (Bastrop) had an excellent mid-size store at that time. We now live in Kerrville (yes, where HEB began) and shop at the smaller of the two HEBs here. I wish Lufkin could/would revamp its store in the image of the small one here as I believe they are close to the same size. Ours is immaculately clean, the employees are super friendly, and there's plenty of room (except when restocking occurs). It has a more than adequate supply of organic foods and produce as well as Central Market items. My memories of Lufkin's store are of crowding, bits of produce on the floor, poor arrangement of the frozen food section and an oversized area of bulk meats which are great for huge families but not for others. I eventually switched to Brookshire Brothers even though they were more expensive. I felt disloyal -- but shopping in a roomier, cleaner and friendlier store was worth the extra pennies. I know many people in Lufkin keep hoping for a bigger, better HEB. They deserve it!!! read more
