Shipping a car can be traumatic. YouTube is full of entertaining stories how transport goes wrong…read more Entertaining if it's not your car. I bought a car about a year ago and the dealer arranged transport that must have been through a broker. Nightmare. It was only chance the car made it unscathed. I bought another car a month ago, and this time I was responsible for transport. So while I was looking for the car of my dreams, I was also looking for transport. The key piece of evidence was checking out Pebble Beach Concours (in August every year) photos and see what trucks are there. If those companies are trusted with multi-million dollar cars, I should be able to rely on them for my expensive (to me) purchase. I actually saw two names on the trucks in the Pebble Beach photos. I tried one and for 3 weeks got the runaround. Each time I called, the story was always exactly, "we're waiting on a truck to become available." Eventually I read that as, "you're not one of our priority customers." So I submitted a quote request on Reliable's website. I think on a Thursday. I got the quote back almost immediately and Monday I called and spoke to Chad, who turned out to be their Operations Manager. He couldn't be nicer and treated me like I shipped $100M of cars every year with them. I told him my sad story (full disclosure) and gave them my credit card number to release the order to dispatch. I hung up and hoped something happened in the next week. 8a the next day, the dealer that had my car back in Detroit (and had been patiently holding the car inside for weeks) emailed that the car was being loaded! Delivery was the fantasy experience I had hoped for--but didn't get--with last year's car. José (the driver) was one awesome dude. So professional and a really nice guy. We met at my local Mercedes dealership. It's a huge facility right off 101N, which suited Reliable much better than coming to my house, which is not easily accessible by a huge, enclosed transport truck. I went up to José and introduced myself with, "For you, it's just another Sunday. For me, this is a fantasy." He smiled and then showed why he's an extraordinary driver for a wonderful company. The big reveal (my wife and a friend were there and had never seen the car) was a blast. It was really neat to see the specialized equipment the trucks have to transport the cars in style (air ride!), and the care José used in every step. And did I mention the truck was immaculate? I'm still not sure how that's possible. The thing came cross country, up from LA (picking up the Long Beach F1 Grand Prix pace car) to the SF Bay Area, and it looked like a councours-prepared vehicle. It's like judging people by how they dress and their shoes (in the old days). Nowadays, you judge a transport company by how they treat their equipment. P.S. I might have lucked out on the scheduling... I learned in this experience that top-notch transport can take time if you don't want your car brokered off to who-knows-who using a pickup truck and a clapped out trailer. You also have to work around the big annual car events (Pebble Beach, Amelia Island, ModaMiami...) when huge numbers of cars are going into the event and then are "stranded" until after the event to return the cars home. If you're paying for this level of service (Reliable's quote was a surprise because it was reasonable), receiving the car in perfect condition is really all that matters long term. Under this rule, I was happy to be patient for a while with the first company... note that I still haven't heard from the first company... not even a proactive status... and it's been 5 weeks.

The worst company for moving I have sent a stove in the fridge two months ago and we haven't…read morereceived it yet. I call every week and they always tell me the same. Excuse me you have it one Philadelphia get it. You're gonna get in contact with me to schedule day to bring it to me. They contact me four days ago and tell me that we're gonna bring it to be in the house from 9 AM to 6 PM and they never show up and then they have the nerve to take if you're not there then you're gonna have to come and pick it up. No, I'm not driving from Lebanon to Philadelphia just because they don't wanna do your job. I sure could've read another people, but I didn't want to give the opportunity to Spanish people as I'm a Spanish but then they messed up. They're not organize and as I read all this review, I shouldn't know better. I should've searched the review first before I rent and use this company. I will never use this company again and as I see review I see they respond you back with the apology. I don't need nobody's apology. I just need you guys to do your job because that's why you guys just charging so much I don't need nobody's apology so y'all better not answer me back. I'm sorry for the inconvenience yet not sorry I just don't wanna look wrong in social media and I know you're wrong. So instead of being responding people about the messed up that you guys do yeah should work and organization quality always first customer first figure not to have all this bad reviews that you have because you don't do your job, right

I asked this company for a quote to move from Las Vegas to Deltona, FL. After three weeks of calling and asking what was going on, I had to give up even though I had already sent them a list of the items to move supported by photos. I called several times and the person never answered the phone; I could only speak with who I believe was a receptionist. They kept promising that I would receive a call back the same day, but that never happened. In the end, I thank God that I will not be moving with them, because if they cannot even provide a quote, I can only imagine the problems I would have had with an actual move. My recommendation is: don't even bother contacting them.
