Cost over $ 500.00 dollars cash he took in 2 Very old gold coins well worth over $ 1,200.00. To pay for the work back in Sept of 2018. I've had to return the ring 7 times. Each time he kept it for no less than 4 months and up to 8 months. I live out of town so each time I would take pics of the flaking of th black in the grooved and in the center where the name and print was, smear of the paw print, and shoddy half italicized name on it. Each time I would beg him to make my ring a priority. He's good at calling females Darling or sweetie! It's now 2022, This last time I sent it in after a lengthy conversation regarding what his priorities were and the fact I had the ring in my possession less than he had it in his shop reworking, molding, or what ever he kept doing that never worked. I sent it on March 2nd and it was delivered and signed for on the 4th. (From the time I started doing business with him I could call the shop number and Can count on both hands how many times the phone was answered and count on one hand how many times I would actually speak to him. I was told he was busy and would return my call and never did. If the shop phone did not answer I would get a recording the mail box was full. That's the way he runs his business. Early May he told me my ring was sitting next to him ready to ship. I can't count the times he told me the same thing. I was told last week it went out via fedex, I ask for a tracking number and was ignored of course this is all by text because he won't call you unless I suppose your a man. He try's to schmooze women I believe. I called him out on the tracking number and said, " you didn't send it did you". His answer, "Wrong, it will be there Friday". Friday came and went, Saturday came and went. Monday I requested the tracking number and the reply, " you will get it tomorrow" Tuesday came and went. He texted, did you get your ring? He didn't know it but Fedex had texted me the tracking number and informed me I would need to sign. I still kept trying to get not only a tracking number but I started asking if I needed to be home to sign for it. No Answer from him regarding a tracking number or if I needed to be home to sign for it. Then within one week the black glass in the middle is peeling again! I'm at my wits end with this guy. He is telling me he will refund my money. Over $ 1.700.00 bucks cash and gold coins and that's not counting all I've paid for shipping with insurance and required signatures for proof of delivery from my end or the frustration and continual disappointment each time I sit for months on end waiting for him to fix and return it. He has shipped it to me once that required my signature. Will see! If it happens, it will be several months I'm sure! I received it Wednesday. It's two sizes to small! Go figure. And here is the start of that he has tried ad tried over and over again to fix. Big ole chip in the inter ring by the name and paw print. I thought he had several years of experience! I don't recommend anyone to use this Jewler! I will tell you my ring has not peeled anymore but I would be lying! There is an area I felt a bump on the clear glass or what ever. If the clear bump had not been there I pretty confident it would not have chipped off the black. Unfortunately I'm still left with a chipped ring. Every time I call the store, I get a voice mail is full message. I have tones of times shown on my phone where I have tried to contact the store and his personal phone. I was told by a lady who answered the phone early on after my repeated attempts to get an answer from him ( with the first issues and it taking him months upon months to send me my ring back or even speak to me) he told Store employees not to answer any calls from a 615 area code. Since that most certainly going to be me. Where is his work ethic? Here it is in 2023 and still no answer. My ring is still screwed up.

The customer service is consistently top-notch. I picked up a Tudor FXD from them brand new, and the entire process was smooth and enjoyable. I also sold them a vintage Rolex, and they were very fair with their offer. I combined that with some of my own money to purchase the Tudor, and I couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. The store itself is clean and welcoming. On hot days they even offer cold water, which is a small touch but says a lot about how they treat their customers. Their selection of pre-owned watches is excellent--plenty of great pieces to look through. I haven't spent much time on the jewelry side, but the watch selection alone is worth the visit. She decided that instead of Kay or Walmart or another multi-billion-dollar corporation, she'd prefer to get it from the Jeweler's Box to buy local, so the community's economy gets the business! We went in together and looked through his vendor's catalogue and found a truly beautiful design. She ordered it, signed the contract, and paid a $40 deposit. The four-stone ring was listed in the book for about $98 as sterling silver, around $108 after tax. He had mentioned the engraving (as she also wanted an engraving on the inside of the ring) may be extra, but still probably no more than around $120 total. He calls her back in a few days and tells her not only is the engraving a few dollars extra, and not only is each stone set into the 4-stone listed design an extra charge per stone, marking it up to an almost $300 retail price, the stones aren't even genuine. He said he can let her have it for I believe it was $280 because of the confusion. She still planned on paying it because the added value would make it even that much more special. She forgot to mention to me that the stones were non-genuine until after we went in together to see it. The ring comes in. She goes in without me to see it and tells me how you can't even hardly see the engraved names! It had super bold, black name engravings in the book and is supposed to be professionally cast, which is what makes it so bold. But you can barely see it. I go in to look at it with her. The secretary takes it out of an envelope (not a velvet box), and it doesn't even look engraved from a distance. It has very faint, cut-engraved letters, no black at all, just cuts. It looks nothing like I remember it looking in the book. It also had a very almost bubbly-looking, almost painted-looking finish to the metal, not the designer-crafted, casted, quality look in the catalogue. This ring looked nothing like in the book. The engraving looked like it had simply been cut in. The stones weren't even genuine, having upcharged the piece to almost $300! He was very quick to just give her deposit back and scrap it... We are pretty convinced it wasn't even ordered from anyone. I honestly believe he thought he could manage to charge her almost $300 for something he did himself in his basement or something. I don't think he even has a back room in his store, that I can tell. There are no doors on the inside that I could see. This is a professional jeweler who disassembles, weighs, repairs, and evaluates pieces of jewelry. Ain't no workshop in his store!!!! He has to take stuff home to a home workshop or something, which is very, very shady. There is no telling what he does to people's jewelry in a basement out of town somewhere. I wouldn't be surprised if this is someone who replaces people's real stones with fake stones and all that other crazy stuff you hear goes on. Later, we went to Walmart and ordered a ring with genuine stones that cost around $108 plus tax, so about $120 total. It can safely be assumed that if Walmart can sell four genuine stones in a sterling silver ring for $108 total, the Jeweler's Box's vendor would not be the entity charging $150 extra (non-retail cost, as JB said they sold the ring to him for $250 cost before his $30 profit markup) for non-genuine stones.
