Anita communicated with our Florida based scooter company to get our fold up scooter running again. She sent pictures and videos to help justify a warrantied scooter. Did that all on her own time. Horrible customer service, very rude. I came in with my mom looking for a wheelchair and the lady's responses to our questions were very abrasive and inappropriate. Speaking to me about my mom in third person in front of her "she doesn't understand" in a tone as if we owed her something, etc. wouldn't recommend and certainly not a place of compassion to their clientele with special needs. read more

If I could I'd give this business ZERO stars. I tried to go to their store to look at their line of mobility scooters. When I got there, it was gone, no longer there even though it said it was open. I then called their phone number. The person who answered had terrible English and I could barely understand her. She mumbled something and then said I won a $100 gift certificate or something and that she was going to transfer me. I was pissed and not even sure their link was the right phone number so I went back and dialed it manually. Same result. I had to yell to get her to shut up and listen to me. I said I don't care about any B.S. prize (honestly believe it is a scam). She said she was going to transfer me..... again. I told her no I just want the address to their store so I could come look at scooters. She then said there is no actual store location. I gave up and hung up. TERRIBLE experience wit this business if it even is a mobility scooter store or not, I'd definitely NOT recommend them in any way.y read more

Even tho i don't live in Carmichael I have been here several times for repairs on my Dad's walker. Anita really impressed me that she knows her stuff about walkers and wheel chairs. And she really cares about doing things right. Yes, she is a bit gruff, but kinda funny too. And her expert knowledge is the most important thing that keeps me coming back. I had a wonderful experience with Anita. She is knowledgable and really took the time to make sure I understood how my Jazzy chair worked and what I needed to do and expect down the road. My sister and I were extremely impressed and satisfied with customer service from Anita Chandra at HNH Wheelchair Sales. We decided on Sunday (yesterday) to purchase our Mom a new Wheelchair but wanted to buy it and take it home the same day. We found HNH online and called this morning (Monday) to see if they had wheelchairs in stock. Anita first asked how much the person needing the wheelchair weighed. I thought that is interesting but told her. She confirmed she had chairs that could meet our needs. We arrived around 2:00 pm and she asked if I was the one who called this morning. I thought that was pretty cool. When I showed her a picture of what we wanted she asked again the weight and said that she recommended a smaller chair. She demonstrated a couple of chairs to show why a smaller chair was best. She educated us on the various sizes and materials. She asked if the person was incontinent. I had not even thought of that. She was correct in her recommendation. She also adjusted and installed the legs on the wheelchair based on my Mom's height. We paid and were out the door in a little more than 30 minutes. A 20% restocking fee on a floor model is another reason small stores are headed to oblivion. AND, the saleswoman was complaining out loud about how onerous the refund process was while using my credit card. Obviously customers ruin her day. Then, just to rub salt in the wound, i found the exact same wheelchair on Amazon for 40% less with free shipping. I keep trying to patronize local businesses. Do not go here. Lady is rude and does not listen to customer needs. Today I returned my item on time, which she said was late. Then claimed I broke something--I did not. She went back into the shop and came back out with a broken part. She actually went into her store and broke part of the equipment. read more

While I understand others' reviews of the owner being vocally negative about the state of business, for me she was very helpful. I needed a new handle for a walker I bought on Craigslist. She helped remove the old one, scraped and cleaned off the dried glue, then personally helped put the new handles on the walker. No easy task! It took 30 minutes all told, with a lot of elbow grease and even WD-40 to get the very tight handles on, which I would not have been able to do myself. She did not charge me labor, just the cost of the handles. I recognize cultural differences in her attitude, but appreciate a small, family-run business trying to make it in an online world. read more

Dont buy your supplies here unless you want to pay a 20% restocking fee on all returns...I bought a few items and returned one unopened the next business day and was charged 35.00 for no reason. My husband was told that the charge was for opened items...its a small store..what do they have to restock.. This business lacks common business ethics/ Speaking for myself they have committed credit card fraud by adding an addition charge to my credit card after they had received full payment...Failed to advise total cost of repairs to my walker...a week later I receive a credit care fraud inquiry from Visa....They had charged my credit card $231.75 without ever discussing the total cost of repairs....When I questioned their business ethics....the very next day a $20.00 additional charge was made to my credit card without my consent or knowledge... tHIS CONSTITUTES CREDIT CARD FRAUD..... read more

I agree with Emerald G. DO NOT GO HERE! They are not honest. I spoke with Anita regarding acquiring wheel chairs for an upcoming event. The first time we spoke, she quoted me $30.00 per chair. The second time we spoke, she quoted me $40.00, stated that they would NOT charge a deposit and that there was no delivery fee as were an organization and would guarantee the return of the chairs as received. When I asked for these items in writing to confirm the rates, dates, etc. she stated it was not necessary and "we were good". I insisted on something in writing so she said if I wrote something she would sign it. After much chasing down, she faxed a letter (no call or email), stating there was a "misunderstanding" and $300.00 a security deposit per chair and a delivery fee (never stated how much).
