I had a stepfather pasted on Friday, his services were handled by Shackleford Funeral Home of Waynesboro. I placed an order on Friday through flower shop network.com for Jean's House of Flowers, which is two blocks from the funeral home . Special instructions on the order was to call Shackleford, to confirm time of viewing and services, other instructions were the arrangements would be made at 1 o'clock on Saturday, make sure the flowers were delivered in time for the viewing. The viewing was on Sunday evening 5 to 8 with the Funeral @ 10am Monday morning and and no flowers were delivered. I cannot express the embarrassment of having no flowers for my stepfather for his viewing. I called Jean house of flowers at 8:30 Monday morning she told me that she had rejected the order on Saturday when she received the call from Flowershop Network because she had no live flowers. I questioned her why wasn't I contacted and her only answer was, she declined the order. Jean did not have the decency or respect or care to let me know that she declined the order. I informed her that I would never use her shop again and I'll also let my family and friends know and that I would write a yelp review , her only reply was "sorry you feel that way." I stopped by another flower shop a few blocks away, informed them of what happened. I was informed this is not the first time something like this has happened with Jean, unfortunately they were sold out out flowers. So still no flowers. At this point it was time for the funeral to start and no more time to find flowers. I called the flower shop network make a formal complaint let them know what happened. I was told by flower shop network that Jean replied to them she would call them back regarding the order, when she found out when the services were, and that she did not call them until this morning before the service that (is just found out when the services were) Bulls@@t. She only called them after I spoke to her at 8:30. Again I cannot express the humiliation and embarrassment to have a funeral of a family member and have no flowers from our own family. I would not wish this on any family. If you want flowers delivered to your loved ones in the time of grief, look for another reliable florist who cares about getting your order delivered on time, and who has the decency to contact the client if issues arises instead of dropping the ball and doing nothing.

In general, I'm usually not impressed and we have to go through several tries to get it right. That's why I am so excited about the work done by Angie Cossey Wymola of Orange Blossom Florist. She and her team did an amazing job working out the florals for an event I produced in May 2015. I came in with a bride who wanted the flowers to look beautiful, but didn't have a specific direction she wanted to go. The color scheme for the wedding was - color! - and lots of it, so we decided to celebrate spring. Ms. Wymola and I discussed what types of flowers I wanted to use and then I gave her creative freedom to go for it. Every time she sent me an idea, I loved it, so I realized I could hand her the reigns and I could focus on something else. And that's exactly what I did. She and her staff handled every aspect, coming in with gorgeous - and unique - bridal bouquets, stunning centerpieces and two show-stoppers flanking the alter and bride and groom's head table at the reception. There was a great understanding of what we were going for and absolutely no hesitation on Ms. Wymola's part. From start to finish, I was very pleased with the way she handled both the creative and business sides of this project.
