Bad choice if you want vaccinated entertainers. We booked H.Y.P.E. over two years in advance of our party, but as we got closer to our mitzvah date, we asked Jazmine to confirm that she would only staff those entertainers who had been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. After nearly a two week wait, Jazmine called and said that she "was legally prohibited from asking her employees whether they are vaccinated." This statement is patently false as my employment lawyer wife noted during their conversation. Jazmine went on to state that "everyone knows that vaccinated people pass Covid just as easily as unvaccinated people, so it's not really any safer to be vaccinated." She then suggested that we simply "test everyone with rapid tests the day of the party." Being wholly unsatisfied with this anti-science, anti-public health view, we sent a follow up email wherein we stated that we required written confirmation that anyone Jazmine staffed at our party would be fully vaccinated against Covid 19. After another three weeks and no response, our coordinator reached out to Jazmine and she continued to provide inaccurate information as to whether she could ask her employees for vaccination status. What she ultimately clarified is that she is choosing not to ask her employees whether they are vaccinated, based on her philosophical belief about personal choice; she then claimed three of her staff have a medical condition which prevents them from being vaccinated and she doesn't want them to be out of work. As a physician, I know that there are no medical conditions which absolutely contra-indicate getting vaccinated. Clearly she has made a business decision not to ask her employees if they are vaccinated and is aware that several are not. She then claimed that other vendors are lying about vaccination status. She ultimately said that she will tell her employees if they want to work at our event, her employees would have to provide us with proof of vaccination status, yet she will not ask them their vaccination status directly. When I asked about a refund (or to "unwind" the contract) since we were cancelling 10 months in advance, she said we will still lose our $2000 deposit, and that once we send a certified letter officially canceling, she is also going to enforce the contract, and seek the balance of 50% of the original contract value, which is the penalty for cancelling more than 180 days prior to the event. The bottom line - H.Y.P.E. and Jazmine are unconcerned with the safety of the guests attending the parties they work, and are unwilling to demonstrate flexibility when it's apparent that their philosophical beliefs are misaligned with those who favor public health and safety. read more

Our first experience with H.Y.P.E. was at my sister-in-law's wedding. They were absolutely fantastic, therefore it was our only choice when it came to our wedding choice. Rob and Chris, who were our MC and DJ, were absolutely amazing! The dance floor was completely packed the WHOLE night and the music was absolutely amazing! We had also utilized the company for our ceremony and cocktail hour music and they were extremely accommodating when making sure everything was perfect. Jazmine, the company's president, is absolute an pleasure to work with, and Renea was extremely helpful as well. We have had so many compliments from our guests in regards to the music played at the wedding and our MC even got out on the dance floor to teach everyone the wobble and cupid shuffle! We had seen HYPE in action at a friends wedding a few years back and made the decision to go with them on our wedding day from the get go. Our wedding was on 7/3/14...and from the first meeting with their President, Jazmine, so the wedding day we couldn't have been happier with their service. We went with the DJ and Emcee package which gave us 2 people at the wedding. This was nice because the emcee was able to double as a ceremony coordinator helping make sure everyone was walking in at the right time and everyone was properly lined up. This isn't something I think HYPE normally does, but because they are a 5 star company, they did it flawlessly. We had Rob as our emcee and he was awesome. Brought lots of energy to the party, was very thorough in his communication about what was happening and when throughout the night and made sure to play everything we asked for. My husband and I first saw HYPE at my sister-in-law's wedding as they were the DJ/MC. I had never before seen so many guests on the dance floor the ENTIRE night. The music was amazing and it was a lot of fun. So it was only natural that when it came time for our wedding on September 19th we hired HYPE. Our first meeting was with their president, Jazmine. She tried to get us to go with the DJ/MC duo and we didn't think we needed both, but she seemed adamant that it is necessary. And let me tell you, the DJ/MC was DEFINITELY necessary!!! Three days before the wedding we received a personal email from Jazmine with all of the wedding details and timeline which was very helpful. Our DJ, Chris, and MC, Brittni, were AMAZING. I could not have been happier with them. They understood the type of music we wanted to listen to and our dancefloor was packed all night long. It was as if they read our minds. Brittni doubled as the reception coordinator making sure guests were seated at the right times. She also would come up to me during the night to go over timelines and remind me of when to do all of the specialty dances, bouquet toss, etc. She grabbed my groom and I to go use our photobooth before it closed. It seems silly that I needed reminding, but when it's your wedding day, you are so excited and preoccupied with mingling with guests that time tends to get away from you. Chris and Brittni went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were happy and that the guests had a great time. We all had so much of a great time that we paid to have them stay for an extra 30 minutes to keep the party going! We also got their photobooth package. It was so much fun! HYPE provides a photobooth attendant to make sure our guests know what to do and where to place their pictures. HYPE has tons of fun props and the quality of everything is wonderful. My groom and I made our own monogram that HYPE printed on every picture strip. The only negative I have with their company is that corresponding via email was a little slow on their end but everything did get addressed eventually. Overall, we could not be HAPPIER with HYPE Productions. They are super fun, professional, and make sure the bride and groom are happy. I firmly believe that a DJ or band could make or break a wedding, and HYPE 100% made our wedding a blast! I would definitely recommend them for any event!!! read more
