ASA is a heartless, cruel machine with no regard for the damage they cause. I wrote a letter to…read morethem which was completely ignored, I received no response from them. This is what I wrote: I understand with the ASA that slowpitch is your money maker. I want to bring up an important question - where are your players coming from? I bet if you polled your players you would find that an overwhelming amount started out in Little League. Anchorage Sports Association is doing itself a disservice and fast tracking their own demise by stomping all over Little League with scheduling. Yes, scheduling is an absolute bear, no one said it would be easy. When ASA forces fast pitch comp team parents to choose between their kid's Little League team and the more expensive, longer running comp team - of course the comp team is going to win. Who loses? Well, Little League initially. But really, next goes the Comp Team clubs. Where are they going to get players without Little League? It would seem that Anchorage Sports Association does not care one whit about that though. Maybe since Anchorage is such a transient town ASA will have a steady supply of former Little League kids, now adults, out playing for the fun of the game. But perhaps they won't? Perhaps you're shooting yourself in the foot by walking all over Little League's already established schedule this season? My child's Little League softball team is now in conflict 9 out of 19 games with the local comp team that ASA scheduled. Do you have any idea what that does to the Little League team? What about the girls that are just learning the game? How much fun are they going to have losing/forfeiting those games. How fair was it to my daughter's coach to be told comp team scheduling won't interfere until *maybe* the last week of the season? Don't you think the coach would have planned the team and playing strategy differently had he known he was losing his entire infield for nearly half of their games? It is an incredible disservice to the kids in this community and I am absolutely heartbroken that ASA doesn't care about the kids in this town.

Has everything I need to get my work out on! Close to my hotel and literally perfect hours for a business gal on the go! Looking forward to my trips to Anchorage SO much more now that I'm set up with the best facility and people to keep me on track! Highly recommend coming in and checking them out if you are from here or in town for work!

A huge disappointment. If you're thinking they'll try and scam you, they will. I signed up for a…read moretwo month membership with Tasha Johnson, at the Downtown location. She was very nice and helpful and promised me I would only have to pay for the two months. In reading previous reviews, I wanted to make sure I didn't get screwed over. Now, accounting has told me that I didn't call in early enough to cancel my membership even though Tasha specifically told me that I shouldn't call them until I received my membership card, which is what I did. Tasha also told me that I would have a $50 bonus sign up fee if I did it before the end of the year (2019). I have yet to see any of that money, which is also something I've spoken to Tasha about from one and a half week ago who's still trying to figure that out. I'm currently still trying to sort out the mess. Tasha has been late returning my phone calls and never seems to answer her phone. It seems very much like once they get your money they could care less. If anything changes and they do waive my fee, I'll update this review, but so far I'm extremely disappointed. The gym itself is perfectly adequate. Pros, pretty empty, working cardio machines. Cons, no WiFi and of course, everything regarding customer service. For how much they charge a month it's particularly frustrating.

Other gyms for this cost or less have saunas, tanning, pools, yoga studios, classes, etc. Not here. The two newest staff members are very unpleasant with one of the girls going as far as chasing you down anytime shes away from the desk when you scan in and practically accusing you of not being a member. On top of that the same girl has a habit of putting things away before anyone is finished, I've seen her do this to the point someone will eventually yell at her. Any time you step away to grab water, go to the bathroom, or even just walk around in between sets she immediately cleans up after you even if it's obvious you're not done. She also seems to think everyone should workout in 100% silence so if the weights ever make any noise or if someone makes even a quiet grunt she'll tell the manager who then calls you to say there's been noise complaints about you (which is funny because whenever I've gone there's either people that are much louder or there's not a single person in the building so I'd love to know where the complaints are from). It's really not worth the price.
