I have stayed at Hacienda several times. 2.5 Stars at best. Here's why: * Check-in is pleasant * Reserved a king bed but got a room with two queens (king has a table) * Clean lot with marked parking spaces * Bed is good and firm, no squeaks * Bath is clean with fresh thick towels. No issues with hot water or pressure * Room is clean, but... - Floors are dirty - Some light fixtures do not work - Last room, the TV would lose its HDMI connection then freeze every 30-40 minutes forcing a repower of the router/modem. PIA needless to say - Refrigerator did not work * WiFi is decent, not fast read more

Lovely couple checked me in. The rooms were recently renovated. It is a basic room with a comfy bed, surprisingly spacious and most importantly - CLEAN. It is not too far but far enough away from the interstate, close to coffee and food. A great bargain and great service. read more

The Hacienda Motel was a good choice for us. It is clean, quiet, pet friendly and reasonably priced. It is convenient to historic downtown Yuma and the Terrotorial Prison museum. The owners are friendly and let us check in early. They have a small pool too. read more

I'm pretty much echoing the other reviews here. From Nov. 4th - Nov. 10, 2020, this place was clean, comfortable, reasonable, had everything I needed, everything worked and no repairs were needed. That being said, I took off a star for two reasons. It's a much nicer experience when the office staff is friendly, he wasn't. I asked for maid service on one occasion and vacuuming and dusting wasn't done. I wound up wetting down a hand towel and did the dusting myself. Yes, the furniture, etc. Is outdated, but I don't see the sense in spending twice the money just for a prettier room. Your money, your choice. Yes, the mattress coulda been better, but I slept just fine all night, every night. read more

Stay away! Room heater sounded like a lawn mower when it clicked on. Desk clerk used profanity every 5th work if you could understand what he was saying. He tried to make us pay twice for the room despite our online receipt. Choose anywhere else....please! read more

I booked a room here with a web site but had to cancel the reservation because I needed to return home earlier than expected. Because I was in Yuma having stayed the night before in another hotel I stopped by the Hacienda early in the morning to cancel the room. The owners refused to cancel the room and proceeded to charge me for the no show. The excuse was that web site held the room with the credit charge and that it was a non refundable charge. This is peak season in Yuma and they could have resold the room with no problems. It just shows the owners are greedy. I showed up very early in the morning to cancel this room giving them plenty of changes to resell the room. The Arizona Inn in Yuma didn't charge me when I was a no show because I had put my dates in wrong. They even honored the rate when I showed up on the wrong date. The Hacienda Hotel showed no such courtesy and just shows how greedy some people can be. read more

Very good bed, shower, towels and sheets, comfortable and quiet. Coffee in the rooms would have been nice as would a deadbolt on the door. I had to ask for the wifi password but wifi was fast and efficient. It would have been nice if the fridge had been plugged in before arrival so that I could have put the food from the hot car into the fridge. read more

A group of four of us came and stayed here in early September, splitting up into two rooms side by side. Check in was easy and the 20-something male clerk was more than hospitable. We were engaged in small talk and the clerk realized we were there for week 2 of dove hunting. He explained how crowded with hunters there were the weekend before, opening of dove season. He was very nice and offered to set us up the following mid-morning with an area on site (outside and away from the rooms) to clean and dress any birds we may bag. This offer was GRATIS (aka FREE of charge) and he seemed genuinely excited we were there and to help him out. We enter our rooms and albeit they are a little outdated they are quite acceptable. The rooms were clean and there were no bed bugs to be found. The mini-fridge is just that - mini, so don't plan to store a lot of items in it (plan accordingly if you come here). The A/C units worked GREAT! Overall, the price for the room was acceptable for what we received. After morning 1 of our hunt we returned to the motel, in anticipation of cleaning and dressing our birds for an evening dinner. We went to check in with the clerk to inquire where we were to complete said cleaning and dressing. Out of the back comes a hostile male (90% sure the father of the clerk and owner of the motel) ranting and raving that we "hunters" caused a huge mess in the rooms the previous week (we were not present the previous week), leaving bird feathers and remains everywhere, and causing them problems with the clean-up of the rooms. He stated he would not allow the activity at his motel. We explained that we had no intention of doing the dirty deed in our rooms and that the clerk had promised us a table and hose to complete the task outdoors (in 110+ degrees heat I might add). He initially railed that it was not going to happen, but then stated we could do it for $25 EACH! We argued over the ridiculous fee he wanted to impose for 10 minutes of work and a couple gallons of water. He then became belligerent and upped the price to $100 EACH! We told him to go fuck himself and he informed us we could go fuck ourselves. Now, thinking back on it, it is quite comical that this entire incident took place - LMAO! At least he did not boot us off the premises. The last laugh is on him though, as we ended up cleaning and dressing the birds INSIDE our rooms! Where we did so in the wonders of AIR CONDITIONING! No, we did not leave feathers, blood and guts strewn about the rooms (although two in our party wanted to do just that because they were pissed by his attitude). Not a speck was of evidence was left behind, as in the long run none of us roll that way. We even took the remnants to an off-site dumpster out of RESPECT for their property, but mostly for the original clerk's sake. Later that evening we used their BBQ in the pool area (thank you very much) to cook up our grub and enjoy some cold beers! We stayed another night and called it a weekend. WE will NOT return here and spend our money. There are too many other places in Yuma to drop your coin and maybe be treated better by staff and/or the owner. That entire lack of customer service (primarily being an AH) lost our business. WTF are you going to do next year on opening season week/weekend? You should be booked solid. But, if you treat the hunters the same way you treated us you may be in for some unwanted surprises (like birds being cleaned / dressed in the rooms and the mess being left behind, or hunters who fill up your motel during this God awful time of the year not returning). Up to you! This motel went from a 4 star review to 2 star review in my book! The original clerk gets 4 stars though. Dad, or whoever, gets 1 star... read more

So far so good for a very affordable, clean, no frills motel. The room is spacious with adequate lighting, frig and microwave. We were at the Travelodge and moved because the wi fi couldn't have been worse and it was so noisy. We have been pleased with our stay. Even though we are right on 4th Ave, it is much quieter than when we were at the Travelodge. There is an aroma in the office that I think is a spice (which I don't like), but be assured the smell is limited to the office where the owners residence is adjoined, it is not in the rooms. I encourage any budget traveler to try the Hacienda. I was amazed at the number of workers staying at other motels for a greater price and smaller rooms, but maybe a tiny coffee pot is worth spending $50 more for a week stay. I had a very positive experience in this budget motel. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The owner helped me out when I accidentally reserved the room for the following night instead of the night needed. Another plus was there was room to park a moving truck with a towed car. Enjoyed the convenience of Fry's grocery and Coco's restaurant that were both within walking distance. Only complaints were the bedspread wasn't warm enough. I managed with doubling it and heater. And the fridge wasn't on. Not worth it to wait for it when we were only staying one night. read more

I made a reservation three months ago for two rooms for two nights in January 2021. They called today December 9th and cancelled my reservation because they had a problem. A new reservation was taken requiring all of their rooms. I voiced my dissatisfaction and was told well, you have a month to find some where else to stay. Very poor customer service. read more

This is a nice motel about 15 minutes from El Algodones, Mexico where we went to Circle Dental. Not fancy but clean, quiet and very economical. The bed was comfortable (king) and furniture was nice and it looked like they were recently replaced. There was the usually amenities like hair dryer, small refrigerator, pool and microwave. Stayed at this motel because my mom was in the hospital in Yuma. Great little 50's era hotel which was clean and the AC worked very well in the blistering Yuma heat. I wish the bed was a little softer to my liking but if you like hard beds, you will be in heaven. Nothing especially stands out but the place was very clean and I felt safe. They don't serve breakfast but for the price, its was fine. I think I paid a total of $55 out the door. Very nice place that I would recommend to anyone. read more

Avoid this filthy dirty motel. The bed linen and pillow cases was soiled and not washed after previous occupants. You will be able to smell the oily stink and see the creases in the linen from previous residents. The bathroom towels were unwashed and stank. The carpets stink. read more

While the rooms were fairly alright and the price seems reasonable up front, to those looking for a quick nights stay along with their children will find that despite already paying the asking price you will be charged more for every child you have along with you, even though you will be receiving the same amount of beds and service (and I use the word service lightly). Come here only if you're like a two person group looking for somewhere cheap to stay the night, not if you're a family that needs a place to rest. read more

This motel is a clean, well-kept, and pleasant older hotel in a convenient Tucson location, family-run. It is centrally located, walking distance to a Coco's restaurant (open lots of hours), a post office, a supermarket, and a pharmacy, and it's on a bus line. The rooms are good-sized, with built-in shelves and tables, good lighting, a microwave, and a small refrigerator, and effective heating and cooling. Stayed there on a Saturday night and there were very few guests. My room was actually very large for an older motel, and it was very clean and quiet. Hot water was very hot, and the fridge, TV and everything else worked. I didn't swim in the pool, but wished I'd had the time the next day when i went out there and the water was sparkling. Owner was very friendly, price was right on at 50 bucks via internet. Ice came from a machine outside that was 25 cents- first I've seen that but actually, I agree since elsewhere people fill up their coolers and the machines are sometimes out. Plenty of parking, no surprises. I'll be back next time I'm in Yuma. read more

We stay at the Hacienda Motel every time we travel to Yuma. It is clean, and well cared for. The owners are most gracious and care about your stay. It is a great smaller motel, without elephants trampling above your room.....a BIG plus for light sleepers! This hotel was at first not so bad for the price that they offered. When we checked in we got ourselves situated and tried to connect to the wifi. It would not let us connect. So I had walked over to the office and stood there for at least 20 minutes. I rang their bell they had on the counter and still no one came to help me. I went back to the motel and called them. I asked if their wifi was working and the lady on the other line said yes. She told me to turn off and back on my lap top to get the wifi working. I had already done that, but thinking maybe she reset the modem I tired it once more. Still did not work so I had to use my phone's Hotspot to connect to internet. I had stayed here for a few nights on a business trip. The sheets were not changed neither was the blanket. The bed was stained with dark substances which looked to me like blood. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. You get what you pay for here. It may be cheap, but it's still not worth it. Don't even want to rate this hotel with any stars, but you all now that we have to so yeah I give this place a no star!!! read more
