This firm is amazing. I was at wits end before finding them because I did not have a lot of money to spend on hourly attorney expenses. I dealt with some very terrible attorneys before finding this firm. They worked on commission and negotiated a good settlement with the opposing side. I want to thank Ms. Kelly Ditto and Mr. Michael Hackard for their willingness to spend their free time in explaining my uncle's will in probate in LA county. They were able to look at my uncle's probate court filings and explained that if I had to contest the will against my father's will (who also passed away a few days ago in Florida where he resided) I would have to petition the will in Florida. It's going to a tough battle to say the least. In Dec of 2018, I ended up getting into it with my father for being a dead beat dad and never once apologizing --and well, I basically cursed him out tbh. Afterwards, he yanked me out of the will. I unfortunately have to fight my sister and estranged step brother in Florida over this. Mike Hackard dropped my case when it was too late to contest my Mothers will. He kept telling me to be patient saying we would file suit against my brother for elder abuse as soon as the 120 days were up and he dropped me when it was too late for me to do anything about it. It's as if he was bought out by my brother. Mike Hackard was totally dishonest with me. He charmed me then he didn't do anything he said he was going to do. Prior to signing with Hackard law. I had a consultation with another law firm and their approach seem more effective on what action they would take to make sure the trust case at the end was a successful outcome on my part. Hackard law was my second consultation with a law firm, I immediately had reservations and questions however he reassured me why his approach would be beneficial and why he wouldn't go a certain route. He assured me a successful outcome. Shortly after signing with Hackard law he seemed to take action made a few phone calls and got the ball rolling. However I express to him myself and 5 other beneficiaries wanted to have the trustee removed and voted off for taking no actions after a year and not doing her part as a trustee. Hackard law states he didn't recommended to do that, it's hard to have someone removed and it takes well over a year in court, he once again assured me he can get her to take action as the trustee and makes moves that will be successful and benefit to our trust case. Surely enough the trustee wasn't voted off and she sold the only asset left to all the beneficiaries (a home) not only did she sell the property with no family discussion or the ok from beneficiaries on her decision she sold the home as is, for below market value and took an addition 50k for realtor fees. We didn't have a day so on any items in the whole and never got full details of bank accounts left to the trust or life insurance policy or retirement fund etc. We had a meeting to question Hackard law on the amount the trustee sold the property for. He stated she has the right as a trustee to make a fare value Decision and we basically didn't have a say so. We also brought up, if we had removed her as trustee we would have been able to make better decisions for the trust. One being fixing up the home to receive top market value, second keeping in contact with the beneficiaries every step of the way and allowed us beneficiaries to have items out of the home (even family photos). Not only did Hackard law represent 6 beneficiaries as a whole, but he charged us separately 35% as individuals? I question this In a meeting and he basically said In so many words it is what it is. Not only do I feel Hackard law didn't represent us properly and just wanted an easy closed case without addressing any of our concerns to avoid doing any foot work outside of making a few phone calls. I feel he spoke to me on a very dumbed down manner as if I was a child, he was very conniving and manipulative on his part. I feel he spoke to me as if I was an Imbecile I feel because I am African-American he views me as uneducated and decided to take advantage of me. He continues to ignore all my concerns. We are currently in escrow, and he will not take action whatsoever. when the home sells, the attorney will be walking away with over 100,000 for doing nothing. he still hasn't looked into the bank accounts are done any additional foot work. All he cares about is the house selling. He doesn't care that it's being sold below market value and refuses to take the trustee to court. I feel like my hands are tied. My concerns continue to be ignored. I encourage all to avoid this law firm at all cause, it will only benefit them, not you! read more

Worst practice EVER!!! My grandpa hired these lawyers to draw up a new will and POA and we paid them upfront the full price. They called us 3 weeks after and said they were dropping my grandpa's case with no real reason. Grandpa was soo devastated and crushed that they dropped his case. Now we are back to square one and gonna have to wait another 3-4 for a will and POA to be drawn up for an 81 year old guy. Please reconsider looking for another lawyer and do not use Hackard law. They seem to ignore questions and phone calls!!! read more

How do I truly describe my experience with Hackard law? That was the question I asked myself when deciding to write this review. The first year after both my parents died, and I became their trustee, I attempted to navigate the emotionally charged and complex world of probate law by myself. My husband's grandmother passed away and I trusted her daughter as a trustee. From the very beginning she was very difficult and secretive about informing the beneficiaries of assets, bank accounts, properties or just simply keeping them in the loop. After a whole year my husband and 5 other beneficiaries hired Hackard Law. His Son took on the case and seemed enthusiastic to help. He informed the 6 beneficiaries he would represent them as a whole. He shortly after made a few phone call and was able to get the Trustees to communicate. However My husband raised concerns with how the trustees had been handling things and all parties agreed they wanted to vote her off and have her removed as trustee. That idea was shot down and told it wasn't a good idea and would take over a year process. The Law firm never really got down to what bank account, life insurance, a report of personal property of the grandmothers like her car or if they could have family photos. When the family had zoom meeting with Hackard Law, all their concerns where brushed under the rug and never sincerely took into account for, He would speak to them and professionally, I remember him saying "It is, What it is". My heart broke for my husband and his family watching them deal with Hackard Law. This law firm did minimal work and took advantage of this family when they needed support the most. I believe Hackard Law to be the true sharks and racist. He judged this family and wrote them off from the beginning as being young black men who are unknowledgeable of legal matters and took advantage of that. He told them what they wanted to hear at first, took advantage of their trust and shot them down doing what he thought was best. The only thing Hackard Law cared about was the 1 property to be sold so the beneficiaries could get their cut and the law firm would get paid. Not only did he promise to represent them as a whole he charge them individually 35%. Hackard Law is the true beneficiary and is the only one inheriting anything after charging six individuals 35% each of their cut. I see Hackard Law laughing to the bank. read more
