Couldn't be more happy with my experience with Haddon Tree Company. I requested a quote online to have 2 trees trimmed and cleaned up, as they were overhanging a neighbor's garage and intertwined with power lines. Gia responded to me within an hour and we had a survey scheduled for the following day. Pat showed up the next morning and gave me an incredible price on the work and even pointed out some issues with another tree on my lot, which he offered to trim and clean as well. Don't follow directions, rude and expensive! Their quote came in much higher than other companies. I have a baby and so my husband asked for them to come by, not knock, look at the only dead tree, and email him an estimate. We did this with 3 tree companies and 3 pool companies. Every other company had no problem following this request. This one however rang the doorbell and was rude to me when I whispered asking him to just go around the side and look at it. They also called and emailed telling us we shouldn't "air our grievances online". That's what yelp and Google are for- to warn others of bad companies. Not trustworthy. read more

I researched tree trimming companies specifically with the intention of taking some mental load off of my wife, so I gave specific instructions and permission to go to the backyard, examine the only 40 foot dead tree there, and give us an estimate. You claimed to see the people in the backyard, yet you chose to ring the doorbell anyway and wake my infant daughter up from her much needed nap. Beware this company. They quoted me a reasonable price and then tried to charge me thousands THOUSANDS of dollars more. I offered them a compromise payment and instead now they're threatening to take me to court. I made the mistake of sharing I have thousands of dollars in bills to take care of my dead mothers Creamation and burial and Pat the owner literally said that is proof, to his mind, that I can pay him thousands of dollars that I did NOT agree to. Wow! These guys are quick. Called last week to schedule an estimate, they were here in 2 hours to quote. That night the quote came in my email and I was shocked at the price (good shock, not bad). Called to book them the next day and they gave me a date one week later to tend to our trees. The team came out today; they topped and cleaned up 5 trees (2 were over 100ft tall), took down a 5th tree (30ft pine) and ground 2 old stumps. They were done, cleaned up and gone by 1pm. I carefully researched on-line reviews before requesting proposals from several well-rated companies. Of them, I selected Haddon Tree Co. because their bid was competitive, and, more important, they were extremely responsive. I heard back from them within a day of my initial request, and they scheduled my work quickly. GM Brian came out and was obviously very knowledgeable and made good recommendations for what needed to be done to 6 of the large trees in my yard. Where alternative approaches were possible, he priced out each of them for me. The crew came out exactly when they promised to. There were 5 men, and all were polite, extremely conscientious about their work as well as about observing COVID protocols. Much appreciated. The work and cleanup were all done exactly as promised, and precisely as I wanted it done. They even cut and stacked firewood for me. I had asked them to just toss it in a corner of the yard, but instead there is now a big stack of 18" logs ready for the fireplace. I recommend them without reservation. When we moved to our property, there were several trees leaning very close to the house that gave me concern. I found Haddon Tree Company via a yelp search and Pat, the owner, came out promptly to walk the property and give us an estimate. We did our due diligence and got several competing quotes from other services and while Pat's was not the cheapest, he was extremely competitive. What won us over was his thorough knowledge of the trees, how they would impact our property and corresponding landscape. He looked at our house as a WHOLE, not merely a single transaction to cut down XYZ trees. After all of the years I spent working in restaurants and dealing with various contractors, I've learned that nothing worries me more than the phrase, "Don't worry, we'll take good care of you." Whether it relates to a tip for your service, an estimate for work you need done, or the quality of work you can expect, those who utter those words are almost guaranteed not to deliver on that promise. This is a punch that Haddon Tree Company does not pull. I respect Pat, who runs the company, for that. He is blunt, honest, thorough, and hardworking. His estimates may not always be the cheapest ones out there but they are more than fair and both he and his crew go well above and beyond what is expected of them to get the job done right. The first time we worked with Haddon Tree Company, it was to pull out some tree stumps and cut down some dead trees. While they were there, Pat did some landscaping to help revive the dying plants we had in our backyard. The next time I called him about a job, I asked if we could work out a payment plan because I was still waiting for some freelance money to come in. He said, "We'll do whatever you want to do. You're one of the guys who is trying to improve his place and the neighborhood. We're always happy to help clients like that." He had no reason to give us such a compliment but his quote gives insight into the fact that his primary motives are to do a good job and take care of the area. How can you not respect someone like that? The last time Pat came out to do some work, he said to put a ribbon around any other trees or bushes we wanted down. Since he'd already be there, it'd be easy enough to get them done too. He easily could have charged me an additional $500+ to do that work but he never asked for another dime. He did the work because he knew it needed to get done and that is his driving force. That's just how he works. I talked to Pat again this morning and discussed some of the bigger, more involved landscaping projects that we would like to do down the road. He said he would come pick me up whenever I was free so we could drive around the area to look at landscaping elements that I liked to decide what would suit us best. "In the meantime, you might want to start playing the lottery," he said, half jokingly. I don't know what it will end up costing or when we will end up doing the work but I'm positive that it will be worth the price and that we'll once again be completely elated by the result that Haddon Tree Company does. read more

Please let me start off by saying that the company crew who actually does the labor was absolutely great, they removed the tree and did an impeccable job cleaning up!! They moved fast and did a tremendous job overall. I gave this company 1 star ONLY because of the guy we did business with. I don't know if he's the owner or what, but he is a completely rude, cocky jerk and it was so upsetting after trying to do what was needed to keep our family safe in our own home. We had an extremely large pine tree fall onto our roof after a very rainy, windy storm, and it put a hole through our bedroom ceiling. The guy who directs the crew and gives you the pricing, etc. told us he would remove the tree, and then ensured us he would provide a tarp to cover the hole in our roof , which we definitely needed because it was supposed to rain again that night. But then at the end of the job he said "You need to get a tarp on that roof with more rain coming tonight," packed up and LEFT! Yeah no shit Sherlock! He never put the tarp on like he agreed to do originally. So my husband calls him and asks what happened to the tarp, (it's also getting late at this point), and he says he'll be back in 30 minutes. 2 hours pass by - he never comes back. My husband calls again, tells us he'll be back in an hour. What a surprise, again he doesn't show. We spent the rest of the evening trying to find another service to come out to get on our roof to temporarily cover the hole. What a debacle! It was so disappointing! I also wanted to add that we made the decision to remove a few trees a few years ago and he told us one price to clean up the trees and then came back and doubled the price. What the hell is this dude's problem?? We called them again because we had a very large tree sitting on our roof and needed to get it taken care immediately. This guy is extremely rough around the edges and misleading. In a situation where we have a tree fall through our roof, this is the last thing we want to be concerned about, especially with an opening in our ceiling. To me, it's not all about the quality of work, which again, I'll be the first to say the crew was great, but it's also about customer service too and this guy has no idea how to provide that and also how to treat people. read more

I called for an estimate and they came out the next morning. I got a price and they said they could cut down the tree the same day. I had another company coming an hour later so I waited to get their estimate.The other company said they would get back to me later that day, but Haddon Tree Company's estimate seemed really good and I wanted it done quickly, so I went ahead with them without waiting to hear from the other company. I was very impresssed with their operation - they showed up to my house (just a little more than 24 hours after the estimate was given) with a bucket truck with long reach, and two additional trucks with equipment to cut a huge tree that was damaged by a storm and a second tree that was weak. You could tell all the guys were very experienced as they worked like a cohesive team - they cut the tree without damaging my property and cleaned up the area where they cut and their staging area cleaner than they found it. Interviewed several companies and in the end if am thrilled that we chose Pat. He had a pretty daunting project at our property but did an amazing job. We had an old (very tall) oak tree that needed to come down. Access to the yard was limited, but he made it work and more importantly, cleaned up after the fact. I was honestly expecting to have a lot of leftover debris but that was not the case! His crew was very respectful of our yard and our neighbors yard. His pricing was extremely reasonable as well. I received several quotes giving the scope of the job and he can back and matched one of the quotes. I should also add that at the last minute we asked him to take down several other pine trees and he pretty much did it for free. I would highly recommend his company in the future. They are so organized, it's almost like a military operation. Haddon Tree Co. did an outstanding job on the much needed tree work in our yard last week! We had two 60 foot tall, not very healthy, wild cherry trees in the very back of the yard that were close to the power lines and needed to come down for safety reasons as well as aesthetics. Plus, we had numerous trees in the yard closer to the house in desperate need of trimming, with large limbs that were not healthy. Some of them were hanging over the cable lines and the deck/garden. The first estimate we had gotten was so outrageously high that we weren't sure if we could get the work done at all. Pat was our 2nd estimate and we were pleased that his price was more in line with what we had anticipated paying. The following week he and his crew of highly trained professionals (and really nice guys) came to the house with the most awesome equipment to do the work. My husband is still talking about the chipper they brought! It was amazing to watch them work, safely bringing down those two huge trees. As the limbs and trunk of each tree were cut the pieces were lowered straight down on a rope that had no swaying at all and never came close to the power lines. The rest of the work in the yard was done equally efficiently and safely. In fact, they ended up trimming a few more dead limbs from a tree close to the house that needed to be taken off. At the end of the day his crew cleaned up every last stick in the yard and left it in even better shape than when they had come. It was money well spent. Just had a large tree taken down by Haddon Tree Company, couldn't have asked for better service and care of my property. Patrick couldn't have been more responsive and knowledgable and his crew worked very hard in very hot weather. My neighbor also had a large tree taken out and it all had to come through my property on its way to the chipper.
