No mini essay can begin to convey the sensory delight this farmer's arket delivers. Reasonable parking exists though expect to walk a bit. Standard two rows divided by a closed street. It has many of the traditional fresh fruit and veggie selections you'd see at a typical market, but there are a couple standouts that should put this market in your rotation: 1. Surprisingly a lot of local liquor options. Between beer and spirits, this market features 3-4 different alcohol vendors all with unique flavor and styles. 2. O.K. Charley's Craft BBQ - I'm going to be honest.. this is arguably the best bbq in the area. Their brisket is melt in your mouth tender and juicy with a perfect pepper bark that really gives that texture and depth of flavor good BBQ is supposed to have. This is absolutely worth the trip alone 3. Central location - this market is close to a bunch of small locals spots that I enjoy. Troubled Brewing coffee is only steps away, you can get something hearty from Local Links or walk down the street for some ice cream. You can really turn this farmers market visit into a full afternoon adventure if you choose too! Lastly, there is a small little car show that always happens the same day just on the edge of the market. If you enjoy looking at fun cars, you can pop into the car show while eating Empanadas from Lola's at the market for a perfect Sunday market experience

You have everything from the widest assortment of fruits & vegetables to meats, flowers, dog treats , baked goods and condiments. The booths are well spaced out to avoid crowding and is well supported by the community ! SO much to love about this market: some Philly favorites like Kismet Bagels and Milk Jawn ice cream, and then a number of local farmers selling everything from peas to kale to strawberries to chicken - depending on the season. You'll also find Revolution Coffee right at the entrance selling cold brew for $4. Happiness to me is wandering a market with a full cold brew, so mission accomplished here. I grabbed sic apple cider donuts, blueberries, chicken thighs, mushrooms (would stop by her booth EVERY time - delicious mushroom combos that made my risotto that night totally out of this world), and left only like $30 poorer. This is the best way to buy produce, and everything truly was delicious. I am still working through the blueberries and feel totally ruined since these are by far the best I've ever had. Big shoutout to all of the farmers bringing this to life and the many Collingswood families using this service to it's fullest extent. I cannot wait for my next trip!

I live off of Haddon Ave, and try to shop locally as much as possible. When I first moved to…read moreCollingswood, I lamented the lack of a good market on Haddon. National Food Market is a joke (that more often than not reeks of old meat). Healthworks is great, but without produce. From May through November, this isn't a problem because the farmer's market is there to meet all my produce needs. But where on the Ave can you get produce when the farmer's market is off season? Admittedly, I walked past Sara's for months without giving it much thought. I assumed that it was just another National Food Market-esque establishment. It's hard to tell from the outside, as the windows are full of plants and the door was always closed. But after checking out Yelp, I decided to go in and see if I was missing something. Turns out, I most definitely was. Sara's has inexpensive produce of decent quality. Sometimes the lettuce or kale is a little limp, so I just skip it that week. I can shave about $10 off my produce bill for the week over shopping for the same items at Wegmans. Sure, the selection is rather limited. But it covers the basics well. And there's some unique produce available that you can't find easily elsewhere (mayme sapote and prickly pear cactus pads, for example). Like another reviewer suggested, I stop by Sara's and by what I can there, and just use the grocery store to supplement what I can't get through supporting local!

There are actually quite a few locations. Produce Junction has a huge variety of well, produce, and other flowers/plants. You get a lot here while spending a little. There are two separate lines for fruits and vegetables, and when the weather is nicer there is also a register outside for flowers and gardening plants. I love that there are always seasonal items here- I have gotten pumpkins here as well as Christmas trees! The Christmas trees are actually a pretty good deal here- not only is it super convenient but you can get a decently sized tree at an affordable price. Don't forget- Produce Junction is cash only!! There is an ATM inside but make sure you have cash when you get to the front of the line (and know what you want)!

As someone who has shopped there for over 30 years, I was not aware of the *new way they ring you up for plants. Usually, the cashier looks at my cart and counts the items/prices and gives me the total. The cashier today, which was rude to me last time I went, just stared at me. When I asked her "how much", she said she didn't know. She did not tell me to place all the items on the table, but waited until I asked her if that is what she wants me to do. This is something new, as was the scanner and giving of a receipt. She should have said something to me instead of just stare with an attitude. It really upset me and I will be buying my plants anywhere else!
