About twice a year we take the offers in various newspapers for a short break around the UK. This year it was the turn of North Wales. We decided on the Haven Hafen y Môr Holiday Park. Arriving in the pouring rain, thank goodness that changed, reception went through very swiftly. Our accommodation was a ground floor apartment with patio area. Two bedrooms, sitting area/kitchen and a nice bathroom with shower cubicle. Very, very clean throughout.
As we are an 'older' couple we didn't use any of the parks facilities so cannot comment, or it would be unfair to do so. But seeing the enjoyment the 'ankle biters' were having, it was obvious that there was plenty for them to do. The bonus of this was that, at night, the park was extremely quiet taking into account the number of families around. A very large holiday park to what we were used to but very pleasant.
A park that I would certainly recommend to any families with any size children.
One bugbear, and not the parks fault. The roadways are very good but are crammed with people and children making it difficult and dangerous to drive around. Why is this? Holiday makers, lazy ones, park along the roadways on the double yellow lines while there are sufficient parking areas throughout the park. read more
