I made my fourth visit to this site over a rather wet & windy August bank holiday & found the site as good as ever but with a few changes, some for the better, others not. The site is large & situated at the north end of Barmouth, close to the beach but also ideally situated for exploring Snowdonia. It is situated at the bottom of a cliff (warning, the access road is straight but fairly steep) & divided into 3 areas with camping at either end & caravan pitches in the middle. Facilities on the site are pretty good with the usual shop, take away, launderette & clean shower/toilet blocks. There is also a playground (which got a big thumbs up from my son). The Cambrian Coast Railway runs down one side of the site with the sandy beach & promenade on the other side of the tracks. These are easily accessible via a level crossing situated at one end of the site. From here it is a 15 - 20 minute walk into Barmouth. All in all a site that I have used in the past & no doubt will be using again. My only gripe is that two out of the three crossings across the railway have been closed since my last visit & if you are at the wrong end of the site its a bit of a trek to the one remaining crossing read more

great dog and child friendly site. The staff are great. The beach is next door. there had bean a long heavy period of rain and the grass areas where good and solid. All in all I fell in love with the place and will definitely be going back read more
