If you find yourself in a home built by JF Builders be prepared to have problems - ours included gas leaks, water leaks, incorrectly installed roof shinges, cracks in our driveway and our sidewalks, stress cracks on third floor walls, missing headers in a doorway, cracked balcony rails, poor quality cabinetry in the kitchen with multiply defects the list goes on and on. After owning the home only 2 years we ended up gutting the kitchen and upstairs bathroom, repairing the exterior deck railing and replacing the roof just to be free of Freda!

Our bathroom looks like it's out of a decorating magazine!…read more We had been looking for a contractor for about two years to remodel our poorly functioning bathroom at our shore property when a friend recommended Josh at Heron Builders. He built my friend's 4000 square foot home from the ground up---and it is beautiful. Josh was super responsive and very professional, providing us with a detailed contract that included the full scope of the work so that there would be no surprises, The time for completion of the project was a little longer than we had expected but since we don't live there through the winter months (when the work was being done) it impacted our use of the property only minimally. The bathroom he remodeled was a total gut job. We had a ridiculously large soaking tub, only one sink and a small shower. He removed the tub, installed a 92" custom vanity (done by Euroline Designe), a larger frameless shower, a custom framed mirror, new recessed lights and all new flooring. We are so pleased with how it functions now, and absolutely love the way it looks. He's a good guy with a lot of integrity who takes pride in his work...something you don't see too often nowadays.
