I called Ryan on Thursday of last week. He return my phone call early Monday morning and we scheduled a time for him to come out and check my trees. Ryan came out and gave me a bit this morning. He was very personable and is an Arborist. I like the fact that he has a small company and has been doing business in Sonoma for a number of years. I got his bid via email just a few hours after he left my home.The bid turned out to be just over a thousand dollars less than the last company who gave me a price. This our third time engaging the services of these talented arborists (first Kevin, and now Ryan) to trim heritage oaks and a large sycamore tree. Our trees are left looking completely natural but much lighter and healthier. We had a live oak that wasn't looking good that they deep fertilized years ago and it is super healthy today. The crew is very good at protecting items in the yard and cleaning up, leaving things cleaner than when they arrived. A few of them working today were climbing our trees on the first visit years ago. This is the third time we have use Hagstrom & Sons for tree work in our yard. Each time Ryan, the owner, has been great to deal with; a very good communicator. At various times they have topped a very tall redwood tree, taken out 7 acacia trees on the side of our house, and pruned an oak three that hangs over our driveway. This time they took out a couple of oak trees and an olive tree. The crew arrives on time, works very professionally and diligently, and does an excellent job cleaning up afterwards. Finding the right tree service was not a easy task. However my husband remembered a business card he had from years ago when this company did some work of him. I called and LVM and Ryan promptly returned the call and came out immediately and met with my husband who felt very comfortable with him and emailed us a estimate within 24 hours. He even made a point of calling me to explain what was going to take place for I was at work when he came to see what we needed done. He took the time to explain everything to me with great patience for I had some ideas of of my own and he listened and gave his advise which I respected. He was upfront about the time frame that was actually less than 2 months for there were others before us. It was not a emergency. The larger job was coordinated with our neighbor which he managed very nicely. Ryan communicates and follows through on communication and returning calls and texts. I told him I had another company coming out to give me a bid in a week and I would get back to him then. A week later I called beck and talked to Kevin and told him I accepted the bid.
