I had heard horror stories from friends about the many offers on the many houses they had submitted before they finally were accepted. Or the crazy seller's request that they had to accept just to be in the running for the property. I was astonished that I wasn't in a crazy bidding war and didn't have to waive any inspections or take the property "as is" just to get into contract. There was some back and forth, but for the most part everything moved quickly and easily. Not being from New England there were so many things about the properties that I was unfamiliar with, including heating systems, septic tanks and dealing with snow. Working with Mark I learned about the many things one must take into consideration when moving to a 4 season climate. It did take me a bit to find the right house, but Mark continued to work with me until I found one that I was really happy with. But that's not the whole story. We decided to work with Adam because of his honesty, his experience, his knowledge, and his passion for helping us sell. We called him on short notice after interviewing other agents, and he was more than happy to accommodate us. There was honest enthusiasm about selling our home, and he made it a point tounderstood some of the quirks about the property and had a strong plan in place pretty quickly. There was no cookie cutter strategy to selling - the plan was built around our home and our needs, including price and accessibility (I work from home, so showings had the potential to be tricky). After we went under contract, Adam was in constant contact with us, keeping us in the loop on all of the important stuff, and even the stuff we didn't expect to be concerned about. He anticipated our needs. And while the "getting under contract piece" was quick, the actual sale was...interesting. There were multiple bumps in the road, and Adam coached us through our responses with a sense of humor, sensitivity, and intelligence that you don't find in every agent. The advice Adam gave us was excellent, and he eased the stress that some of the hiccups caused. There was always a plan and nothing rattled him. Selling our home was a bittersweet decision. Adam took the time to understand why and know what our goals are. Ultimately, Adam and 603 Birch Realty made the transaction go more smoothly and more successfully than we could have dreamed. I cannot say enough good things about 603 Birch Realty and would work with Adam again in a heartbeat.

We knew what we wanted when we first purchased a home with Val, and Val was able to find us the absolute perfect gem of a home in the perfect neighborhood and navigated through the bargaining and closing with ease. We were in a unique situation, looking for a unique set of characteristics in a home, and Val worked with us for over two years non-stop to help us find exactly what we wanted. Valerie is very knowledgeable about things that we never would have even thought of or asked about, especially considering many of the homes we were interested in were nearly 200 years old, which has an entirely different set of things you have to look at and consider compared to new construction, and she was so helpful in getting us through that. Valerie maintains great relationships with inspectors, contractors, and lending institutions as well, so even if it's your first time doing this, you are truly in great hands. Val has great communication, whether its phone, email or text. She is always proactive no matter what the situation. Val was able push the other side when they needed a push, and made sure that everything stayed on track, from the offer to the closing. Did I mention she helped us save a ton of money? We now rely on Val as our go-to expert for anything relating to our real estate needs, even today. If you want a realtor that is honest, reliable, proactive, and a problem solver, you need Valerie Provost. If you are looking for an agent that isn't going to "set it and forget it" you need Valerie Provost. If you want an agent that is dedicated and hard working and makes you feel like the only client she has because she really cares, you need Valerie Provost. You won't be disappointed.

When I made the decision to sell my house, a friend of ours recommended Dave Heeter. "Just be…read moreready, though," our friend warned, "Dave is going to sell that house quick." He wasn't kidding. Admittedly, some of the speed can be attributed to the hot real estate market, but nevertheless, our house sold extremely quickly. Some might argue that in the present hot market, we sold ours below what we could get for it. I suppose that's true, but it also would have required a sweat equity investment I was not prepared for. After concessions, we broke even and that's all I really hoped for. We started our house hunt the same day, but had slightly less success. Either Dave or Jeff were there the whole time, though. They were extremely helpful and showed us houses and made their recommendations. We placed one offer that fell apart during appraisal, yet in hindsight it was the best thing that could have happened. In the end, we could not be happier with the house we ended up with. The bonus was that it was vacant, and Dave and Jeff worked with the seller to get us into the new house early so that we could close on our old house without a hitch. Selling our house (and buying a new one) was stressful. They were patient with our badgering -- and we absolutely badgered. We were pretty obnoxious in hindsight. The only slight mark against is that I really asked for over-communication (even if there was nothing to report) and it took my persistence to get answers here or there. There was also some kind of communication breakdown on the inspection of our house, as they were in the house before I even learned they were coming. Make no mistake. It was a good experience. They were helpful the entire way. They certainly know what they're doing, which is more than I can say for some of the other realtors we ran into during this experience. One had no idea how FHA financing and approval works for the condominium association; another overvalued a house so dramatically that his sellers will still be there when I'm old and gray. A knowledgeable, helpful realtor is important - especially in a hot market. Dave and his team certainly are knowledgeable, friendly, and I'm glad they were there to help us along the way.
