I didn't even know my eyebrows needed attention. When, over brunch, your mother suggests you should "consider micro blading"' out of the clear blue sky, you know you've got an issue. I asked around, did a little googling and then fell down a rabbit hole eyebrow conversation on FB. Everyone specifically mentioned Michelle at Haiku. Tentatively I reached out for a consultation with her and after a 20-30 minute conversation I was raring to go, I wanted it done TOMORROW! Not so fast, Michelle said~she made me discontinue use of my retinol products for 6 weeks in advance. Finally the day arrived and I made my way (40 miles from home!) to her clean, bright and professional office, not some backroom at a strip-mall nail salon. She was patient and thorough and initially "drew" on my brows, using measurements and the geometry of my face. The procedure was painless (akin to a coil pulling arm hair) and the results are SPECTACULAR! No one knows I've done anything (ok the first couple of days were a little ahem, dramatic) I just look more polished. And better rested. My brows punctuate my face (NOT like Groucho Marx) and give definition. The instructions for aftercare were detailed and easy to follow and I'll go back in another 3 weeks for minor touch ups (if Michelle thinks I need any, I don't think I will~tho I defer to her expertise!). LIFE CHANGER!!!! Michelle is a MASTER OF HER CRAFT. I genuinely could not believe the results she produced with my brows. Microblading with Michelle Heffner is AMAZING! I highly recommend this process with her!!! I have always hated my small thin eyebrows and finally decided to get them done. I was nervous it would hurt and bc it's a tattoo on the face it's a big commitment but I saw clients' reviews and thought OK! I was pleasantly surprised that it did NOT hurt! I was nervous of course because, you know, it's my face. My brows were the product of the over plucking/waxing trend of the 2000's and parts just never grew back. Michelle made me feel very comfortable. Great small talk and a really cute office. We spent a lot of time talking about the result that was best for me. I was very scared to get something so permanent on my face. I had very fair eyebrows that you could not see unless I penciled them in everyday.
