I noticed she had availability later that same day, so I was able to schedule an appointment for 1:45 p.m. Even though I was worried I had waited too long to book and wasn't giving her much notice, she promptly confirmed my appointment and reassured me to still come in. From the moment I arrived, Robin was so warm, personable, and welcoming. As a mom, I especially appreciated that she was completely understanding about me bringing my 4 1/2-year-old with me. She even offered her a comfortable space to sit and wait while I had my hair done, which meant so much to me. I honestly had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair, but Robin had some great ideas and helped me figure out a good starting point. I absolutely love how my hair turned out! Not only is she talented, but she made the entire experience easy, comfortable, and enjoyable. I will definitely be going back to Robin in the future! ‍

The receptionist assured me it would be. I arrived on time for my appointment, but Michelle was still with another client and asked me to wait because she was running behind. I said that was completely fine and ended up waiting 23 minutes. After washing my hair, she started blow drying it and rough dried it until it was almost completely dry. My hair was already getting frizzy, so I reminded her again that I wanted the bouncy blowout I booked and was paying for. She told me she did not have time because she was rushing and that she could not do what I had asked for. At that point I was really frustrated. I was paying for a specific service and expected to actually receive it. When I told her I was upset, she looked at me and said, "Do you know how much a blowout for your hair would cost?" That comment was honestly so unprofessional. I told her it was not about the money. It was about the fact that I booked a service, confirmed ahead of time that it could be done, waited almost half an hour because she was behind, and then was told she did not have time to do what I had paid for. What makes it even more frustrating is that the entire appointment still took about an hour, which is a completely normal amount of time for a long blowout. My hair is thick, but it is not curly and not difficult to style. If she knew she was running behind or did not have enough time to do the service properly, that should have been communicated before starting, or I should have been given the option to reschedule. Instead, I received a rushed service and was charged the full $70. She barely went over my hair with a round brush, and the final result looked like it had just been rough dried instead of being an actual blowout. I left feeling like my time did not matter and that I paid $70 for something I did not even receive. I am extremely disappointed with both the service and the way I was treated, and I will not be returning.

I go in every 6 months and will bring work with me or something to kill time when I'm waiting around for processing and if she happens to run late. I think what makes it the most worth it are the little details in her service. She also provides great product recommendations. Lena's salon is petite and cute, but it feels spacious enough since she usually has one customer at a time. Lena has a gentle and sweet approach to hair, making recommendations without feeling like they're being forced on you. I really appreciate that. She has done a great job dying my mom's hair, which seems to be her speciality, but I've also really loved having my hair cut by her. The products she uses smell very good.
