It was for a family reunion & an engagement party…read more Being from Seattle, not sure of anything in Calistoga, most places were booked, then I found Carmen's Hair Salon through Yelp. The salon is about 2 blocks south from Lincoln Ave. A nice break from the main drags of Napa Valley. Carmen is the hairdresser & owner. The salon isn't very large but for personal service & attention to detail this is the place! So many salons are large, noisy, and filled with attitude. To be the only customer, with the proprietor, one gets the concept of personal attention. I have very long, thick, wavy hair. It took about 1 hour to wash, blow dry & then straighten it. I was grateful she didn't rush it, so many hairdressers do. The end result was amazing! My younger nieces in kept complimenting me & my husband loved the look!
