The worst haircut experience I have ever received. complete and utter carelessness on behalf of…read morejenni here- a hairdresser who got distracted and carried away doing a complete restyle rather than a 2 inch, layered cut- cutting at least 5/6 in choppy uneven layers and then had the entire audacity to agree when questioned yes 2 inches but then pointed to a shoulder point and said that's were it was agreed - you would think any rational professional if they were given two sets of agreements would reconfirm before cutting a long bob to mid shoulder that was previously below the bust ? Also most skilled hairdressers would not treat the client as a child and point to a point on a arm / shoulder- most skilled professional hairdressers in my experience pull to the front? To be honest, I dont say this lightly or write reviews lightly but it was a complete lack of care, lack of professionalism and honestly lack of skill- will never return, will never recommend and will continue to honestly slate your salon every chance I get.

Rather than making it much longer in the front which was what she gave me. She did fix it in the end but it resulted in being a lot shorter than i had intended. I left with more of a 'trim' than a cut, and an uneven one at that. In a mad contrast, Lunatic Fringe was probably the best hairdressing experience I've had in Ireland. At a reasonable price, I had my hair styled exactly as I wanted. No attempt to quicken the job using an electric razor or other such nonsense. Denise came highly recommended and has actually won an award. She was very friendly and not-rushed. Even with my poor instructions, she was able to understand what I wanted - as if I was speaking fluent hair-speak.

I had a consultation one week before my appointment with the director hair colourist, Jade, and she was so helpful, she suggested safe ways to lighten my hair without damaging it with so much bleach to be put on, and she explained what kind of result I should be expecting, I walked into the appointment confident that she'll do a great job! The result was so much better than I expected! My hair has a lovely gradual lightness, mixing different shades of brown that are blended perfectly with my black base. My hair is amazing I got so many compliments and it looks healthy and shiny! I was booked in with Matthew for a blowdry but he ended up suggesting setting instead. The end result was pretty much exactly like the picture I'd shown him. She spent over an hour carefully trimming down the weight and bulk, allowing my natural curls to spring back to life. She painstakingly softened the areas in the back where chunks had been removed by the previous stylist, resolving the mushroom shape that had taken over. Go to the till to pay with my gift card and the cashier tells me that their credit card machine has not been working all day and that I'd need to pay for the service in cash. She pointed me to a bank machine so I could take out some cash to pay for the service. I was not only upset but frustrated. You check in with reception when you come in and pay at the same counter. You'd think they'd have a sign up saying that it was cash only due to credit card issues or warn you before your service, as I'm sure I'm was not the only one redeeming a gift card.
