I've been getting my hair cut with Deirdre for about 3 years. I don't get my hair cut very often, maybe 3 times a year at most, mostly because I can't decide on one hairstyle and am forever growing it thinking I want it long then heading to the hairdresser for a right chop. Deirdre has been great in styling my hair to my needs. I decided to go natural for a few months and stop straightening my hair, she cut it for wavy and the odd straight day. She has also not been shy to advise me against certain styles and suggest others. She listens to me in the consultation and is the only hairdresser (bar one of her stylists) I have come across who actually listens to me and does what I want. Now, she is on the pricey side, €50 for a cut, which I didn't think was that bad, but friends tell me that they wouldn't pay that much. I find that the styles she has given me, though, grow out quite well and therefore I don't need to go back for months on end. My mum uses this service every 8 weeks or so for a cut and colour. My sister also goes to Deridre for a cut, only about as often as me (4 months-ish) and we have all found ourselves going back to this salon with a greater loyalty than to any other. read more

Had my hair cut today by Deirdre Lawless. I've been to the salon a few times for a blow dry & they've always done a fab job. Today I decided to take the plunge & get it cut. I was getting a good six inches off it so was very nervous going in! Deirdre was brilliant, talked me through it and then cut & sculpted my hair to perfection! My only regret was not doing it before now! I'll definitely be back, really lovely professional salon. read more

I went to Deirdre Lawless last saturday & actually walked out of the salon, she was so rude. She told me ( very agressively) they rang me 4 times the previous day to tell me they double booked for my appointment to check my phone for missed calls cause i just wouldnt answer...??- i asked her to double check the number she had for me & turns out they took my number down incorrectly - she didnt even apologise for the manor in which she spoke to me in! I wanted curls which i had got by another hairdresser a few weeks ago which she wasnt happy about saying she couldnt do them as they didnt have a wand - really in a hairdressers???!!! And then she'd have to wash it, i said now it was done from dry before - this went on for a few minutes that i just ended up just walking out of the shop & i wouldnt mind i was actually going to a wedding too so you can imagine how upset i was! she is so rude & abnoxsious & completely unprofessionable - its a wonder shes still in business! I have mentioned this story to a few people over the weekend & it seems a few people have had similar incidents with her & she is known for being very rude! read more
