This was my second time here, I loved my experience with my first time at this studio that I had to come back. The inside of the studio is gorgeous, modern but still warm and cozy. I think I arrived 15-10 minutes early, and was seen a few minutes after I sat down. My hairdresser was Ailan, and she is the sweetest. She was very gentle with the hair wash and precise with the haircut. I showed her pictures of what I wanted, and she truly delivered! She was honest about what to expect and told me the final price up front. I could've done a color correction but i decided to take the risk of having different colors... my roots were lighter at the time and darker at the bottom so I asked for a balayage and color melt to darken the roots. She worked super fast which was surprising because I've taken much longer with other stylists, nonetheless I am in love with the results!! It turned out exactly how I wanted it to and on top of that the damage was not bad at all because she used Olaplex with the bleach which helps protect the hair during the process. I was a hesitant to go after reading a bad review someone gave her on here, but I'm glad I took the risk and I think she deserves my time and energy to post a well-deserved good review :) I would definitely recommend her service! I booked the haircut + blowdry service. I called the morning of the appointment to make sure a wash is included and the receptionist assured me it was. I showed up a little early and once the stylist showed up, she seemed tired and maybe a little sick. She was pretty uninterested in my haircut and there was some communication issues regarding the length desired which seemed to frustrate her. I only get my haircut every couple years and never done such a big chop, so this was a pretty special occasion for me. Unfortunately, it was quite awkward/rushed. Once she cut the foot off, she was like "okay all done" and I was confused because I paid for the haircut & blow dry. She asked in a condescending tone "oh you want that? My next appointment might be here soon though". I don't appreciate the implication that asking for a service I paid for is strange nor did I appreciate the insinuation that my salon appointment should be over in 10 minutes for the next person's convenience. Considering I had called in the morning to make SURE a wash was included, I was annoyed that the stylist didn't seem willing to do the full extent of the service. I've had excellent experiences at many salons across Houston with friendly, personable stylists so this was a let down. Maybe other employees are nicer and I can't speak to the quality of color/extensions but I would not recommend this salon for just a basic haircut.
