I had messaged Tracy previously with my hair pics asking for pricing so I knew what to expect. I decided to drop by after work on Friday and was planning to do a root touch-up only, but Tracy and Noomi were both so nice and helpful that I decided to go ahead and just get my hair highlighted like before. The salon is small and simple, and it felt homey versus all those big, fancy ones that you see online. I haven't got my hair done since last year, so my black roots were growing out and it clashes with my previous blond highlights. It looks so bad and brassy that I decided to go back to dark brown. I gave Tracy a photo example but I wanted it darker and she suggested the color. I think it was reddish-brown brown or something, I'm not sure. She told me the price and I was okay so we got started. I came at 5:30 and they closed at 7, so I was surprised that she said yes. I know highlights take at least 3-4 hours, so I was planning to come back another day, but Noomi said it was okay and she started working on my hair. Tracy was busy with other customers so it was Noomi and this other lady (I didn't catch her name sorry) who stayed until 10 pm to do my hair. I was worried that they would rush to get home early, but they did not. They took their time highlighting each strand carefully and the final product/color turned out so well! I was super impressed and my hair still feels super silky and soft after all the bleach, AKA they know what they're doing. I wasn't planning on finding a new salon but my old hair stylist moved, so I'm glad to stumble upon Tracy Hair Salon. They also offer services like hair massage, hair styling, eyebrow tinting, and many more that I plan to come back to in the future. Noomi did an amazing job, and the photos she took were beautiful as well. I know appointments are encouraged but I called before coming in to make sure it was okay. My most recent visit here was a total nightmare. What was supposed to be a 4-inch trim resulted in a very choppy, uneven cut. Even after going back the next day to have it fixed, I ended up losing double ~8 inches of length total. I'm now wearing extensions to cover up the damage for a trip I have in a few days. While the prices are good, the inconsistency this time was too much to ignore. I'm really disappointed to lose so much hair when it was in such good shape before I walked in.

Besides, I was going drastically different than what I've had in the past, so a little hesitant to say he least. I had sent Janette a couple of pics that I was interested in and she didn't jump through the phone and say "oh yeah, I can do that and it will be perfect on you!" So I automatically thought, great, not just out to get $ and over promise something she may not be able to deliver. Score! Our first appt was great! She explained why we had to do this in 2 steps since I was super curly and would hate it when I couldn't straighten the little hair that would be left if we went that short right away. Needless to say, she did a wonderful job on my unruly hair and we made another appt for phase two. I left feeling and looking awesome! Phase 2: Returned after my first cut/color. Now to deal with my crazy frizzy curls and finish my cut. It's a process that takes some work, Janette did amazing! I'm impressed with how great it looks and the compliments I've received since! She told me understood and still cut my hair while it was soaking wet. I asked for about shoulder length and when I tell you the haircut I got was up to my ears. It's completely unacceptable for Brenda to disregard my explicit instructions for my specific hair type.
