I had messaged Tracy previously with my hair pics asking for pricing so I knew what to expect. I decided to drop by after work on Friday and was planning to do a root touch-up only, but Tracy and Noomi were both so nice and helpful that I decided to go ahead and just get my hair highlighted like before. The salon is small and simple, and it felt homey versus all those big, fancy ones that you see online. I haven't got my hair done since last year, so my black roots were growing out and it clashes with my previous blond highlights. It looks so bad and brassy that I decided to go back to dark brown. I gave Tracy a photo example but I wanted it darker and she suggested the color. I think it was reddish-brown brown or something, I'm not sure. She told me the price and I was okay so we got started. I came at 5:30 and they closed at 7, so I was surprised that she said yes. I know highlights take at least 3-4 hours, so I was planning to come back another day, but Noomi said it was okay and she started working on my hair. Tracy was busy with other customers so it was Noomi and this other lady (I didn't catch her name sorry) who stayed until 10 pm to do my hair. I was worried that they would rush to get home early, but they did not. They took their time highlighting each strand carefully and the final product/color turned out so well! I was super impressed and my hair still feels super silky and soft after all the bleach, AKA they know what they're doing. I wasn't planning on finding a new salon but my old hair stylist moved, so I'm glad to stumble upon Tracy Hair Salon. They also offer services like hair massage, hair styling, eyebrow tinting, and many more that I plan to come back to in the future. Noomi did an amazing job, and the photos she took were beautiful as well. I know appointments are encouraged but I called before coming in to make sure it was okay. Now the second time is where it all went south. I told her beforehand that my hair has been bleached before and I went dark 5 months prior to this appointment. Knowing that, she proceeded to bleach my hair and assured me that she could do it. It just wouldn't be as light as it was originally. Before coming to the salon, I had long hair and by the end of it, 3/4 of my hair was burned off and different lengths. I didn't realize it at the time because she curled my hair and I assumed some hair fall out was normal. The next day I was livid and asked for a refund and she did indeed give it back. I had to go to another salon to get a haircut so my hair could at least be the same length. I didn't realize the extent of how bad it was until the hairstylist told me in order for my hair to be the same length, I would have to get a bob! Please see before photo attached for how long my hair was before if you want to get a picture of how much of my hair burned off and she still had me pay that day.. If you want bleached hair, do NOT go to her. She doesn't understand color and doesn't care about hair integrity. It took an extreme hit to my self confidence because my hair was two toned, choppy, and so damaged. If she cared about the integrity of my hair she should have did a test strand because I would never have let her put bleach on my hair if I knew it was going to break off. If you ask me, she should have her license taken away.

So then the third time I went to see Brenda I thought I was getting the same service as last time which was a push up and hair color well half way through what I thought was a push she says she was going to do a maintenance but did not explain the cost nor gave me the option to choose whether I wanted to proceed or not considering the cost of the maintenance was 300.00 + 115.00 well after she clipped my extensions she proceeded to doing what I thought was a push up, well almost 5 hours later she had her niece take me to another room to blow dry my hair and that is when I worked the courage up to ask if that process of 5 hours was the same cost of 150.00 as of last time, as when I went in the previous time for a push up I only lasted 45 mins to to 1 hour..She then said that what she did was a Maintenance to my hair and that would cost 300.00 and additional 115.00 for hair color, when she only colored my roots and side burns..I told her I was not going to pay her the 415.00 because she did not consult with me on the pricing first and I told her it was not fair as I being her client to not have the option to choose my service.. how did she know if I was able to afford 415.00 ?? thinking I was only going to pay 150.00 well she said you are going to have to pay anyway. I gave her a check for 300.00 and said you can take me to court for the Balance..well she called the police and probably fed them lies..so they corned me to pay her the whole balance..well I warned her that I was going to do everything in my power to make sure she did not do this to anyone else! I told her not everyone will have that amount of money when she tries to do a switch and bait, so I told her I would be warning everyone out their that may come In contact with and her buisness. Please Becareful!! and Beware She is A thief and and is not up front with her Clients! I would also like to add that she is in no way professional as she closes down her part of her working area when she has to take her kids to school and when she has personal issues come up and she will reschedule you at last minute . please find someone reputable..
