I give stars at all for the customer service during the appointment. You can tell she loves what she does and has a self-employed mindset. Where I see lacking is the work itself. The picture of color I had showed I wanted was not The color I received. You can tell even herself was shocked that it didn't come out so at the end she kept saying how it suited my personality and since it was my first color. Unfortunately I can only see the color outside with the right angle in the sun and not at all indoors or at night. What I had asked for was layers all over and higher layers. She had only trimmed my hair and said at the end without me knowing she's done that it's better my hair doesn't have higher layers. I trusted her to do as I asked or communicate. Before I left I could see the subtle color because the sun would hit directly on it from the chair. I struggled to message her just because I liked her. When I asked for what can we can do about it being redone since it was not what I had asked she replied that she can redo it but it might come out darker. I gave her a chance to give some sort of discount or apology but I can only hope she learns from this and grows her customer service skills if she wants to grow. If I could generalize it 4 stars for conversation 1 star for communication (I've called multiple times ahead but hadn't received an answer so I had to use yelp to book) 1 star for her actual work Hair color I asked for and the color I received.
