This review is for Ariel. This was my first time here. I walk in and there's one other lady waiting. There's nobody at the front desk. So I go around to the other side but nobody seems to acknowledge. I decide to sit down and hopefully someone comes by and assists. I waited for a while and was just about to leave. Ariel comes in and has an appointment with the lady who was sitting next to me. She sees me there and asks me if I needed help. I explain to her what I need (which was a quick trim on my bangs) and she was so kind enough to do it for me. Not only was she helpful and did a great job but she was just the sweetest! With a smile on her face the entire time. This is the customer service that is needed. It makes you feel welcomed and makes your day better. I have been coming to Snips for about five years now and I specifically go to Jessica because well... what you ask for, you shall receive. My hairstylist, April, is beyond amazing! She is a color magician and corrected my awful box-color blonde after the Covid shut down. She listens to and works with what the customer wants. I tried to be chill about my experience, but looking at my uneven haircut just doesn't sit right. You can see part of my hairline in the back where it was cut too short and I have strands of hair sticking out all over that is at least half and inch longer than the rest of my hair. I had Ashley Hart as my hair stylist. It was time consuming, 4 hours, and expensive, very expensive as she completely changed the color of my hair with so many mistakes that it will cost a lot to fix. And I just had gotten it done the way I like the previous month. I came in with a lighter reddish-brown hair and left with at least one shade darker brown hair with what appeared to have some darker red near the roots and ash in it. Awful!!!! Terrible looking, beyond unprofessional. I asked her to style it a certain way as well and she did the opposite. She had offered to fix the roots to match the rest of the hair but apparently reneged as I never heard back from her. I texted her a couple questions and she blew me off. The owner, Christie gave me my money back, however, money back is not enough, not when it will cost me x amount more to fix the damage and the amount of time wasted. Also, no reason for it to have taken 4 hours, just shows how inconsiderate and unprofessional she was to me. She acted like she did not understand what I was saying. 'Match the roots the same color as they were done the last time'. Is this hard to understand? Me thinks not. Not a trustworthy environment. Not even an apology from anyone. read more

I came in for a quick trim because my hair was getting super dead and i impulsively wanted to cut my hair. I found this salon and paid $85 for a cut (including $15 for a treatment and $15 for tip), a lil pricey but it's ok! i asked not to cut the front of my hair but my stylist still did and cut them really short and didn't even out the other side (right) :/ i ended up cutting the right side myself and left the left side as it was but my hair looks super awkward as there are huge chunks or short hair that frame my face and that i didn't ask for. note: this is not because i cut it myself, i've attached a picture of my hair right after i left and how there's a large chunk of my bangs missing. I didn't notice this until i got home, but i'll probably have to side part my hair until it grows out ): overall, i still gave this place 3 stars because the atmosphere was super nice and my stylist was super friendly and understanding and offered to fix it but i couldn't as i had an event in san diego. however, the damage on the left side was already done and there was no way to fix it other than taper it out and cut it even shorter which was the last thing i wanted :/ read more

I was nervous coming to a new salon since I had been with my previous hair person for 12 years. I looked up Kimberlys work on IG and decided I would give her a try. Hands down the best experience. She is so nice, so informative, and very professional. She took great care of me and was able to give me a Bayalage that made my hair look sun kissed! Which was no easy feat seeing as that I had old box color on my hair, and had also recently given myself a hair cut She was able to correct it all with minimal damage to my very curly hair. I contacted the hairstylist April yesterday but I ended up going to another salon. So I went to another salon yesterday but the lady over there left me a yellowish highlights. I contacted April again today and she made my hair toned to an ashy color that I wanted! It gives me a more soften ashy color balayage! I really love it! I am still trying to understand how the picture I showed Kristi of the style I wanted is anything like this haircut that happened on my head. It does Nothing for me. Horrible. I will not go back to have her fix it because she seems too scared to cut and that's not good. (Well, unless it's in a straight line.) Her hands were shaking so maybe she is overworked? Over caffeinated? I really don't know... Also the place is cramped and just feels icky... like her 10-year-old Bed Head grease she used to glue down some of my stray hairs. Uh... no! The absolute worst! I will never be back. This will be a long review, please read before coming and beware! I had a terrible experience with a stylist that goes by @hairbynatlee on instagram. Her pictures looked great and I was excited to get my hair done as my previous balayage had turned brassy. My mom ended up trying this place before me in November and at that point her hair turned out decent, not great because Nathalie decided to try out a new dye to cover up the grey hairs and it did a bad job at it and the greys were still noticeable that same day, my mom mentioned it but due to the language barrier Nathalie decided to still charge full price and my mom ended up looking a bit better but the grays remained. Mid-March is when I went to get my hair done. I had gone for a consultation a month prior and had told her that I knew to get to the color I wanted it'd take time and I was ok with that, my main priority was to keep my hair as damage free and as long as possible. I have been growing my hair for 8 years and know how to keep it healthy. When it was time to wash my hair at the end, it took her over 15 minutes to de tangle my hair even after conditioning and even broke a brush she mentioned was expensive due to the extreme tangled mess. Mind you my hair has never been hard to manage. I should have known something was up but ignored it. So she takes her pictures, I pay her and i go. Two days later when I wash my hair is when I realize the mess she had made. I had used the shampoo and conditioner she told me and my mom to use and assumed it was just not a good match for me so I started buying many professional brands from Salon Centric to see which would work, none did. About 2 weeks later my mom goes to get a retouch and comes back with damaged hair worse than she had gone in with (her hair has been damaged since before Nathalie, but the damage she came back with was worse than I've ever seen before) and this is when I finally contact Nathalie to ask her what I could do to repair my hair because nothing was working, Arian oil, coconut oil, olaplex, hot oil treatments, and nothing was helping Immediately she asks what I'm using and she tells me I must not be doing it right. So I ask her what I can do and right away she starts with a condescending tone "if you don't want to take the time to take care of your hair, than bleaching it is not for you" excuse me? I've had healthy long hair for 8 years, of course I know it takes time! The owner himself mentioned how long and healthy my hair was!! She tells me that I can come in to get it fixed but after the damage you think I'd want to pay her to fix what she caused and she never once apologized or asked if she could do something to make it right. It is now 3+ months later, 2 haircuts, hundreds spent on various products to try to salvage my hair and my hair is still incredibly damaged. Nathalie has since blocked me on Instagram (shady on her part!) I wasn't going to post but after telling multiple people about it I didn't think it was right for me to not tell everyone to at least be careful when coming here. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I went to this salon because they had good rating on Yelp... this was the worst hair experience I've ever had. I saw Alyssa twice for trims and consultations to prepare to take my hair lighter for summer with an ombré balayage before the 10 hour hair doomsday I spent with her. The owner was there the entire time. He actually was consulting her throughout the day and my hair still came out a cheap brassy red. Nothing like the pic I showed. The crown is lightest part of my hair... nothing like the ombré pic. See attached images of what I was told I was going to get and the actual outcome. I was offered a lousy $10 discount after she ruined my hair. I am now spending money on deep conditioning and strengthening treatments so that my hair can take more color to correct the patchy mess she made of my hair. Shareen is the absolute best!! I made an appointment to fix my ombré/color block hair that I wanted to change into a balayage. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she told me her opinion on how it would be better to do it in 2 sessions to reduce damage which I appreciated because I definitely trust her more than myself. While doing my hair she explained the process to let me know what was going on and used a lot of yummy smelling products! Even though I bleached my hair it feels healthier and looks way better than when I first walked in there, and I'm happy to say I found my go-to stylist in Riverside! read more

I go to Snips strictly to see Nathalie! I have gone to her for years and travel about an hour from home each way because she never disappoints! I had used black boxed dye on my hair for awhile (‍) and finally decided to let her take control of it again! I wanted to go purple- she made sure I knew that it was going to be a long process to protect the integrity of my hair and that I was going to need to do aftercare on my own as well before even setting up the appointment. When I got over the purple and wanted another change she made sure to ask me the right questions before she booked the appointment as well. I asked for long layers to help my curls bounce & have body, and she only did a short layer on the top that looked like a mushroom and left my longest layer the same. I moved away from the salon recently so will not be able to take advantage of the offer but he said that if I'm ever in town that the offer still stands. I had virgin hair which was a dark brown and was ready for a change and when I deciders to choose a hair stylist Natalie was my only choice! She took great care of me feeding me and making sure my hair stayed healthy through the whole process. Since I had never had blonde hair before she walked me through the steps on how to keep my beautiful blonde hair shiny and healthy with suggestions of products and after care. She told me up front that it could be a lot of work to keep it up but I was more than willing to do all that was needed to have my dream hair. Even after my visit she followed up with text messages and instruction to make sure I was 100% knowledgeable on what to do and she didn't have to, esp since most stylist don't even care once you leave the chair.
