I had really short hair and not enough time to take care of it and have 4c natural hair. I was there for a really long time but she did give my hair attention however I did not like it but I thought that it could have just been me. Fast forward to June of this year, I inquired about someone who does knotless plaits, Kurls was recommended. I didn't realize until after I made the appt, paid the deposit that it was at the same salon. I went, asked her if she could blow dry my hair because I didn't have time and didn't want to be late as I know they are on a schedule. When she was blow drying my hair, it felt like she was ripping my hair out she was not gentle at all. The box plaits was just ok to me. I feel like she didn't put a lot Care or attention to my hair and for what it's worth she didn't even take a picture. My tips have a little bleach because my dye was out. It didn't look as full to me, anyway I paid and left, still not impressed especially since her pictures on IG seem to look nice. My third visit was yesterday, to get a BoB. I hesitated to call to speak with her because I just was not impressed with the salon, I did though because several "Master Stylists" told me that they could not do the style. So I broke down and called but she was out the country. I left a message and returned my call, said she could do the style I texted to her. On the phone we discussed prices for braids and crochet, I decided to get crochet. I asked her if she provides the hair, she said not for crochet and suggested where to get the hair from after I asked where to go. I get the hair, she recommended 8 after I had to ask. She didn't tell me what kind of hair to get or anything I'm just flying blind. Moving on, she's done braiding my hair, install the crochet braids, THEN says the hair won't bend when she burn the ends!!! WHAT! I'm thinking why and why didn't you mention that earlier? I asked why, she said because synthetic hair doesn't burn like that or bend when you burn it! My next statement was , "I wish I would have known that"! Had I known she couldn't bend the ends like a damn BOB should be I would have went ahead and paid the money for the braids so the style could immulate the picture somewhat. At this point I am pissed but I digress! She goes and burn the ends after trying to tell me it will look nice even the other stylist and her client is like it looks nice, lies! So, I've gotten braids installed several times, I know the girls can burn the ends of synthetic hair to look really clean and slim not BULKY. I'm thinking ok if it doesn't bend then after she burn the ends it will at least be clean, NOT! All she did was burn them and cut the rest now the ends are big and bulky! I know she know my hair was not cute or NOWHERE near what I asked for and I know she knew I was not impressed! Usually, I would say something BUT it was my bday and I did not want to get upset! That is what would hav happened because she did NOT try to fix it or see how it could be made better or anything OR try to make me feel better, she just took my damn money, $95 at that and let me walk out of there a damn mess! With everything going on, COVID, ppl with no jobs, my mom had a stroke, I've been taking care of her, assisting my son in school, I just needed a pick me up and on my BDAY but this is what I get for the money, REALLY! I'm more upset because she did t seem to care that I didn't like it! I will NEVER go back to her. A"REAL" good stylist would never let a client walk out of there when they KNOW the client is not impressed. It doesn't even look like she tried. Maybe she had her picks in who hair she does well or something because her IG pics look nice!

I got my hair done roughly every 3 months during that time. The price she charged was fairly reasonable and I tipped her $50 each time The product I received was micro fusion hair extensions. Over the years most of the time I was very satisfied with my hair. However...BEWARE! IF YOU SHOULD EVER HAVE A PROBLEM!!!!!! There are several examples that I can personally provide of her putting in hair that completely did not match the color or quality of my own... One of which was right before my birthday! The color was completely off and I ended up having really annoying photos with two tone hair and all my birthday pictures. She became very irate when I pointed this mistake out and she tried to blame the lighting for the mistake. But this past time was the worst... I am pregnant and wanted to do a maternity photo shoot and get long beautiful extension hair for the photo shoot. I expressed to Ebony how important this was to me since this is my first and last pregnancy & it was very important to me to have some amazing photos of the experience. Not only did I pay Ebony to put in the top quality hair extensions but I also paid her for the hair that she offered to acquire. The longer the hair the more you pay and I ordered 18 inches of blonde Boheyme hair. After my appointment I notice how sparse the hair was because you could actually see through it and there was a noticeable line showing from where my own hair ended & the extensions began. I actually measured the hair and it was short 2 inches. Furthermore, within less than two weeks, over 50% of the hair had fallen out. It looks like a chemo patient due to all the hair that was balled up on the floor. There was extension hair falling out all over my house. When I brushed my hair the brush was always full of extension hair after only a few days of being put in. I wrote Ebony a polite message and asked her if we could find an amicable solution. At first she was agreeable and offered to refund my money. She must have changed her mind because after that she became very angry and rude toward me and told me that I was too much work and that she wanted to "end our relationship". I responded to her by simply asking her to please refund the money as she had promised. Not only did she not refund my money, she stopped responding to any of my messages. Now I am stuck with scraggly horrible looking hair of poor quality on my head. I am seven months pregnant and this has ruined any chance of me capturing a beautiful moment in photos with my baby bump. I am devastated!!!! Now I have to find someone to take these awful extensions out. I wasted $470 & got treated terribly after being such a long time loyal client-over 10 years!! I even allowed her to use my professional photos to promote her business. After being dumped by her so unprofessionally, I asked many times for her to take my pics down. She did not! I am embarrassed to even be associated with a so-called business professional that has such terrible and unethical business practices when there is a problem with the quality of the work provided.
