I went to visit Mark with extensions that I was embarrassed to show up in. Not only did he remove the old extensions, he also applied a keratin treatment to my hair before we even started with the new extensions. I got my extensions here and they are wonderful! The previous places I went to put in some super heavy hair extensions which were absolutely unappropriate for my hair type and started tearing my own hair out. I made an appointment with Mark as soon as possible, and although it was on a Sunday, not a regular day for a salon to be open, Mark arrived there just for me! He removed my old extensions, did a keratin treatment, and put in a completely different type of extensions that I've never seen before. They look like my own hair and feel just as soft and light! This guy Mark is a complete creep. I needed a quick consultation for hair extensions which I have been wearing for over a year now. When I got there he kept telling me I was really pretty and took a picture of me without my consent. He told me he could get me jobs and was showing me pictures of his "ex" girlfriends. So unprofessional. All I wanted was a hair consultation to see what it would take to change my color and add some extension. He cut me off mid sentence and say "that's not what I asked you" when I didn't even get to explain my response. What a jerk. I'm a young girl and I have never felt more uncomfortable in my life. Well, if I could tolerate this rude, arrogant hairdresser called Mark Cortez I wouldn't be writing this review, but, honestly, it was one of the worst experiences in a shop I've ever had. His work was just so-so--and I've had extensions for what seems forever--and his attitude? Well, let's just say he is the most unprofessional person who ever worked on my hair ever. If his work was better I might be able to tolerate him and just keep my mouth shut, but it wasn't. Don't waste your money using this guy.
