When I called to make the appointment, they were quick to answer and it was very easy to schedule. I went for a basic women's haircut which was $75. Lilian was friendly and clearly cared about doing a great job, listening to how I was wanting the hair to be cut. Going from longer hair to a shoulder length cut along with a shampoo and dry all took just under an hour. I am definitely interested in coming back! They're located on the second floor of a plaza with lots of parking, although it can be busy.

The bleaching process could have been shorter with stronger bleach, but Jay didn't want to damage my fine hair, so he took his time with a softer bleach that takes longer, which I appreciated. He could've closed up shop much earlier, but he stuck it out with me from 2:30-8 pm! He was so patient and such an artist. 5.5 hours, 3 shades of blue, 1 purple, and 1 magenta later, this gorgeous multi-dimensional blue is what I got. He literally is the best stylist I've found. I drive 40 minutes, but remember, investment! :) The salon is upstairs in a shopping center on Bellaire Ave. It is located in the "Phenix Salon Suites." She has her own room and the vibe is there! I came in asking for a simple trim, about one inch off, and a very subtle face frame. I also made it clear multiple times that I did not want layers. Instead, I left with a head full of layers and what appears to be at least three inches cut off the back instead of the one inch I requested. During the haircut, I could tell it was heading in the direction I specifically asked to avoid, so I reiterated that I didn't want layers. Despite that, the haircut continued the same way. When I asked afterward why I had been given layers, I was initially told they weren't layers. Once I pointed them out bc they clearly were, I was told, "It looks better that way," and "It will grow out." I don't appreciate the attempt to gaslight me as if I can't see the cut and don't know how long my hair was. A stylist's personal preference should never override what a client explicitly requests. Hair takes months to grow back, and this isn't something that can simply be undone. Disappointed that the experience did not live up to the online reputation. This seems to be such a common issue. Why?!

Andy gave me a quick tour, and I sat down to wait for my stylist. I had booked with Carl and he was very friendly, polite, and calm. He was attentive and did a wonderful job helping me decide exactly what I wanted. Throughout the entire process he would inform me what he was doing and why, and was overall extremely pleasant to have a conversation with! I was really happy with the cut and style-- Carl did a fantastic job and is a true professional. I did not get a blow out because I was going to get my hair wet the next day and didn't want to waste $100 (It was already $200 with tip!) plus, if he followed the formula it wouldn't matter. Well, he didn't! Not only did he leave a big chunk of gray in the front, the roots were much lighter and there was an obvious demarcation line on my very dark hair. He got upset and offended when I went back and asked if he followed the formula. He told me my entire head was full of demarcation lines. It's not! He was rude, combative, and unprofessional.
