She did my hair for my book launch party and I was a hair model for her too. Obviously there is a lot of talent Chloe has. Sarah has been my current hair genius for six years as well. I still drive from Denver every month to have her do my hair. We have pretty consistently tried different things over the years and every time it's awesome. From color to cut and everything in between. Plus we laugh and have the best time. The fact that Sarah AND Chloe are at Freebird together makes this place the absolute best. The products are the the highest quality. There is good parking which is a blessing in and of itself. The sinks are even designed to be ergonomically comfortable for washing. The feel and style of the space is beautiful, fun, bohemian and welcoming.

SHE CUT OFF ABOUT 1.5 FEET IN A BLUNT ONE SHOT!!!! She TOOK OUT EVERY LAYER AND CUT IT TO MY BANGS (which now have no shape on face now ). I've cried all week & been a mess over this. before my appointment I sent text pic messages of my hair and what it looks like and should continue to look like, I showed her my pics at the appointment of how it should look and I stated verbally multiple times leave my length and layers just take the bottom dead ends and I want a bright white around my face & no yellow since I have to already use purple shampoo and only wash it every week or so to keep it from turning brassy. I TOLD HER repeatedly these things I TOLD HER I DONT WANT CHANGE JUST WHAT THE PICTURES SHOW . I should've walked out the moment she cut the bottom in beginning and it was a dry cut and blunt across with one swoop and about .33 inch and I reiterated to her " I'm having some concerns and don't want my hair like that" & got "oh it's just how I do it, it won't end that way I'll even it and I just don't want to waste dye" WHY WOULD SHE WASTE DYE ON THE ENDS ON A ROOTS HIGHLIGHTS!!! She kept saying when I'd question her "everyone does it differently" NO MAAM, IVE GONE TO OVER 9 stylists in 7 states over the past 6 years and every ONE OF THEM at least did the basic of not chopping off my hair and layers and not giving me fire hydrant yellow bangs for almost FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS I'm adding pics of what it looks like NOW AND BEFORE AND WHAT I ASKED FOR - the prior and what I what I ASKED FOR IT TO REMAIN IS GONE AND I HAVE TO GROW IT TO FIX IT AND AFTER THAT AMOUNT ON MY PAY CANT AFFORD TO FIX IT. The long layers and TEN YEARS of growing it to the way the layers and bangs ARE gone! I've now used purple shampoo multiple times and can't get this ugly cheap yellow color out, and my bangs don't match my hair. I was told $295 and charged $345 instead ($50 extra had me so upset I couldn't even look at it again after I left for hours, I put a hat on and cried in my car). I drove 600 miles (12 hrs of driving) RT, spent $300 on hotel and $100 on gas plus food in the area for them to destroy my hair and charge me an insane amount of money: No I didn't mention it then, although I could tell she knew, and I was quite frankly so upset I had to walk away. I can't exactly come back since this whole horrible experience cost me near $1k and I'm living this summer in South Dakota so I'd eat dirt on costs again. I literally have to start over and now terrified to have my cut fixed and honestly after spending so much I can't even afford it. Go at your own risk.

At first she seemed pleasant to work with but as we talked about setting up time for me to meet with her for a hair up do trail before the wedding day, she changed immediately and refused my business stating that the days I requested for the hair trail conflicted with her son's graduation weekend. Instead of calling me like a professional should have, the owner emailed me and told me she can not provide business to me and my bridal party and that I should go with someone else. Wow, really?! I've never heard of any business owner refusing business to a customer. It would have been nice to inform me the days I chose was not feasible and have me choose a different day. It was so appalling to me, I've never had anyone turn their back on a customer willing to pay. Extremely disappointed and will never recommend this business to any of my girlfriends or brides to be. Very poor customer service and I'm not even sure her work was up to par with what I wanted for myself and my bridal party. I'm really selective with hair up dos and I'm glad I took my business to a real, true professional who worked diligently to make me and my bridal party beautiful on my wedding day.

They did a wonderful job with both hair and make-up and I looked amazing! It was also so convenient that they came to my home and they were very flexible with the start time which was early morning. I've been mulling over writing this review for days, but I've come to the conclusion that if I'd…read moreseen a review like mine before I went, I wouldn't have such a terrible haircut. My stylist was very nice and we had great conversation. Unfortunately, however, she didn't do anything close to what I asked for. I wear glasses, so i couldn't really see in the mirror and I was turned away from the mirror so I couldn't even see it when I left. She didn't even bother to show me the back. It wasn't until I got home that I saw that not only was it so so so much shorter than I'd asked for, but it's just an all around bad haircut. She was very heavy handed with the razor so the few places I do have a little length, it's thin and frizzy. Full disclosure: I had cut my own hair (I'm a former stylist) and made a mistake on one side. I was very clear on what I wanted. I said I wanted to keep as much as I could as I'm trying to grow it out, and I just needed the other side evened up with the side I went too short on. I even included that I didn't want it "spikey"! I provided 3 pictures, all pretty similar, and my hair was plenty long enough for all of them. When I went in, my hair was just over 6 inches all around. Now, it's less than 2, uneven, tapered to about 1 inch above my ear, then 2 inches right below it creating weird bumps in the over all style. She kept my bangs (thankfully) but directly behind, it's so short it's spikey, exactly what I said I didn't want. It's not just that it's just too short, it's a terrible haircut, and there's nothing I can do to make it better until it grows out. My goal isn't to bad mouth the salon or the stylist, she was great working with me to get me in and really seemed to listen to me, but this truly is the worst haircut I've ever had. It will take several months before I can even fix it. Even though it's incredibly embarrassing, I've actually decided to add the pictures because I think it's necessary to see how bad it really is. Sadly it's been almost 2 weeks and not a single person from the salon reached out to offer to try to even it out or make it better in any way. No accountability for mistakes. Feel free to remember that before choosing this salon.
