I found Katy (thankfully) while trying to find a stylist that could not only fix what I had (let go of) bring my hair back to life after. My hair had been through quite the processings from a prior place where it went from a stylist messing up to another stylist getting it to a place of liking but after letting it settle I had quite the grow out aka. burn out feels. When I came to her my hair was a complete mess. It was damaged, short, ugly. Just awful. I was so self conscious and embarrassed of how I had destroyed my hair. At my consultation Cindy took her time painstakingly matching my hair to get the PERFECT shade. She had SO many brands, colors, etc to choose from. She was beyond knowledgeable about each brand. I have always had fine, thin hair, but after having health issues, it just hasn't been the same…read more I've tried wigs, toppers, halos, clip ins, you name it. Serums, oils, supplements, etc. I've always been afraid to try hair extensions because I wasn't sure if I had enough hair to begin with, or even strong enough hair. I've always heard they're damaging to your hair so I am very protective of the little I have. To make my hair look somewhat normal, I would use a 1/4 can of big sexy hair root boost, living proof thickener, blow dry upside down and then crimp underneath it to give it volume, and then curl it. It's been a process each time and it's irritated my scalp. I had to cut off my hair in October because it was just so damaged. After doing more research, I stumbled upon IBE hair extensions and I figured I would give it a shot. I found Shelby through the site and saw she had some pretty good Google reviews so I thought I'd make an appointment to see if I was a good candidate. The consultation went so well and she gave me so much hope. She was able to work around my schedule to get me in quickly too. The entire experience was incredible and her passion, thoughtfulness, meticulousness and thoroughness are extremely evident during the whole process. I was blown away by every part of the appointment, the coloring, the cutting, toning, etc., and she has such an amazing personality and knew how to make me comfortable and in tune with everything she did. At the end, when I saw the final product, I cried. Shelby gave me something I've wanted for so long and all the emotions from this journey just hit me at once. I feel so indebted to her and I am so happy she is now part of my journey moving forward. I promise you, you will not leave disappointed and I will sing her praises wherever I go. Each time she seemed overly preoccupied by her life dramas and was distracted from the job at hand. She messed up on the cut severely, as well as the color. After all the work to get the color right, she made it dark again. I gave her a few more opportunities to get it right, but the downward trend continued. She's an obsessive worrier focused on everything except the head of hair in front of her. The last straw was when she told me the price was $20 more than it ever was before. She quoted me what I typically give her with a nice tip. That's not professional. If you like to gamble, give her a try, but you better catch her on a good (non-drama) day.
