Part of this low review is I think more towards just hair cuttery's practices. I booked what is considered a signature cut (wash, cut, and blow dry) through the hair cuttery website. My scheduled time was 3:30 pm. I arrived early, so I assumed that I would have to wait. I brought work with me to kill time. However, I did not expect to wait until 30 minutes past my scheduled time. When the hair stylist took me to their station she basically said that she didn't have time to blow dry my hair. What?! That's what I booked. She must have saw how upset I looked. Then was like ok well I guess I can try and do it fast. The process of the haircut, wash, and blowdry seemed fast and not personable. She was whacking me in the head with the blow dryer. She took $5 off for my wait. They had a lot more male clientele during the hour + I was there. The other stylist also gave me an attitude. It was like the 2 were deciding who to take me, and both were annoyed by it. I don't think I would come back. read more

I got a great cut but think I was the victim of a bait and switch. I am well aware of the difference between a blow dry and blow out. The stylist asked if I wanted a blow dry. I normally decline but consented today. Imagine my surprise when my cut cost triple than it normally does. I was charged for a blow out which was presented as a blow dry. I got my hair cut here, and when I showed the lady the picture she cut my hair and it didn't look like it at all. My sides were totally shaved off and the top was supposed to be a little spiked but she made it smooth going off to the side instead of what the picture was. When I got home I didn't realize how un-even it was until I looked it the mirror and saw that she not only messed up my haircut but also didn't give me what I showed her in the picture. This place sucks never going here again. I was really sad when I saw my haircut but I didn't say anything because I didn't wanna hurt her feelings. I took my daughter to get a hair cut today, haircut was $15. I also bought myself some shampoo. I selected the 20% tip option but she charged me a 20% tip on everything. So for a $15 cut I was charged $10.34 tip!! Betzy was the stylist, she didn't mention this. Very dishonest. I will not be going back. read more

I gotta say it took me a while to find an actual hairstylist where I can go continuously and be satisfied but I believe I finally found it!! Everywhere else I go I try to explain the look I want and they never are able to achieve what I asked for. Thankfully I found Letty at Hair Cuttery. The only reason I am not giving this place five stars is because every time I go I feel a sort of tension between the workers/stylists. I've never seen a bad encounter between them but it seems like they just talk to each other very limited and I just feel a bit uncomfortable. I have had it with this place. I have given them many chances, but they just plain suck. Today I tried to make an appointment for Saturday and I was told that unless I can name a stylist that will be working that day they cannot make an appointment and I had to be a walk in. Seriously, what the f*ck? I need an appointment because I have a one month old baby and I can't risk having to wait there for an hour to get a simple trim. If that is not a completely ridiculous policy I don't know what is. If you want to wait a long time for a "stylist" that probably won't listen to you then go to Hair Cuttery. So I went to get my hair cut yesterday cause it was to long and the lady that did my hair did an Amazing job! Don't get me wrong I'm not overly picky but she cut it just the way I liked it. My hair is so short now though lol. I off track. Anyways I wish I knew her name but The lady that did my hair is a bit older and has long blond hair. The same woman was cutting my hair at this location for about a year. If I wanted her, specifically, to cut my hair I was to call and make an appointment to see her. That's how she wanted her business to run. So when I called and tried to make appointments with C, I was told " No ... we don't do that make appointments to see specific hairdressers. "Yet in the past they I was put on the phone with her to do just that. The last time I was told she is working such and such a day so" COME IN ON THAT DAY AND ASK FOR HER ONCE YOU'RE HERE. " It was for myself and my daughter i told the phone person. She said fine just come in and ask for C. When we walked in around 3pm on a Saturday it very busy. I asked to get a haircut with C who was there cutting someone's hair. When she heard me request her by name the look i got from her said it all. She looked ANGRY. Then in an annoyed and bothered voice told yelled over the store about how if I had just called 1st and she's Sooo busy and maybe she can do it maybe not ... Wow. Walked out. Never going back. My journey with Rebecca at Hair Cuttery started about one year ago. I came to her with a nightmare hair style after trying to cover my grays with boxed dye. What happened was that my roots turned orange while the rest of my professionally dyed hair stayed the same dark brown as it had been. I could barely go in public. I found Rebecca after searching instagram for hairstylists near me and loved the work that has been done by her, advertised by the hair cuttery. I prayed that she would be able to fix my nightmare so I called and made an appointment with her for the following day. Rebecca took quite a bit of time to put tender love and care into my hair. You can truly tell that she is passionate about what she is doing, and she has a natural calling for doing hair. I told her that I wanted a balayage style, and she was very upfront and honest that I could not go from boxed dye to a bark brown to blonde balayage melt in one sitting. I came into the store as a walk-in and was immediately greeted by a very friendly associate even though they were all clearly busy. I was more than happy to wait about 10 minutes while the stylist who greeted me was finishing up with her current client. When it was my turn, she called me over to her station and got to work. Rebecca was extremely pleasant throughout the whole experience and went to any and every necessary length to make sure I was satisfied with my haircut. I could tell she knew what she was doing, even though I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted. She recommended some products for me that I have been using ever since and I love them.
