I wanted a trim but boy am I sorry I came here... on my long hair. JASMINE said she wanted to trim an inch and a half. She ended up cutting 4 inches not an inch and a half. She wouldn't come to the phone to tall to me, horrible customer service. I will never return to this salon. She didn't listen, she chopped my nice thick hair that took me years to grow... no apology. This was my third visit to this particular salon. Silvia was my stylist this time and she did a great job, from shampoo to finishing gloss! It was as if she had been cutting my hair for years. She knew just how to shape my overgrown mess into a stylish layered cut to flatter my face as the color grows out to my original color with a bold white streak. So I try not to blast about companies and customer services but the service and follow up I have received from The Hair Cuttery in Lantana Plaza has been unbelievably disgusting. I went I. On Saturday and after a LENGTHY discussion about changing my dark hair back to red the stylist assured me my color could be achieved but it was going to cost $100 more than I expected. Ok I was in I was willing to pay for the red hair from my younger days My first notion that something was wrong was that EVERY stylist in the place EVERY TIME they walked by me looked over at me and my processing hair. This made me pretty nervous but I waited. The stylist Violene, rinsed, cut, blow dryer and styled my hair then did the big reveal. The second she turned me around my entire perimeter of my face and the top part area was orange, completely different than the rest of my entire head (which also WAS NOT the correct color). The women styled me and was going to send me out the door like this. Immediately start crying, because that's what I do and sge asks what's wrong? Ummm are you kidding me? she then walks to the manager, Linda and says " uh-oh she doesn't like it" Linda then comes to me and asks what's wrong. I told her there was no way I was paying over $300 for the service, my hair looks like it was home dyed! She assured me it was fine it was "just hot roots" and they would fix it. So another 45 minutes later my hat is rinsed again, I go to the mirror and this is their "fix". I immediately asked for the manager again and said I had to leave. The fix was worse then the original screw up! she said I didn't have to pay anything and I left without another word. Crying all the way home. I called the salon this morning, spoke with Linda and reminded her of who I was, I stated, before I contact corporate I'm reaching out to her to see how we can have this fixed because I have a wedding on Friday, which I explained during my initial visit, Linda's response was " well I didn't charge you and if you call corporate that's the first question they're going to ask" Yep! That's the customer service I received after they screwed up. Apparently no concern at all. So after my call to corporate, I am now waiting for the district manager, Karen to see how this is going to be corrected. However I was told 24-48 hours to receive the call and I need this fixed!!!!! read more

I went in to get my haircut today and it did not go well. During the shampoo I had water in my ears, on my face and all down my back: It was as if I had gone swimming. Then came the haircut. She cut it way too short, it would not lay flat and the side looks like it was cut with dull scissors. On top of that my color is two toned. Not happy at all. read more

Been going here for a while. Never seem to wait long and no appointment is necessary. Always have an enjoyable time getting my hair cut and it's a good cut and relaxing wash, recommend the tea tree shampoo. Staff is friendly and accommodating... Let me park my bike inside. She spent only 10 minutes for the entire hair cut.She cut 5 inches off my hair between the 2 times when I asked for 1 inch only off. She did absolutely no style and when I went back and asked to have it fixed she made it worse. I have a simple layer cut and great hair that ANY stylist can style. She does not listen and simply argues with you. Basically she spends the entire time trying to sell you over priced product. Super racist. I called and asked how much it would be just to have hair trimmed and blowed dried. She says we have to see the texture of your hair and the length. Ok fine i understand. So i walk in today, and some lady barely looks at my hair, and gives me a price. My hair is permed, straight, short up to my neck. All i wanted was a wash, blow dry and to cut the ends of my hair. My hair was in a bun, and she tells me just by looking 46$. Im like 46$ for what exactly. She tells me oh, your hair is blah blah blah. A whole lot of bullshit. In other words, you have black hair so its more. Im like wtf. R u serious? I go to my usual dominican lady who does wash and set and trim for 30$. I've been going here since I moved back in 2012. I love Daphne (she loves to chat and does a really great job styling and cutting hair), and most other stylists I've seen here have been great. When I did have an issue with a cut and color (my first ever), I went back to ask if they would help and they really, really did. They went above and beyond, but it was probably because I was nice and said that I didn't want to cause trouble, just needed the job done right. read more

If you value your hair and overall appearance DO NOT go to this place. I have never had such a bad haircut in my entire life 40 + years. I could have gotten a better haircut from a landscaper. First I asked for a certain cut and they acknowledged yes they knew what I was talking about, well apparently that not being the case hence the haircut, really if they weren t sure I guess they probably should have admitted not knowing. I asked for it to fall right above my shoulder, well I guess above the shoulder at this place would be your ears, it is choppy, uneven and unfixable unless I get a pixie cut. Needless to say I am INFURIATED, especially since I went to neaten up my shoulder length thick hair 4 days prior to starting new employment dealing with the general public. Stay away from this place, all I can say is you get what you pay for...lesson learned!!! read more
